These Lazy Susans with vinyl record inserts give a new meaning to "record turntables"! This video demonstrates 6 different fluid art techniques using LP records as substrates. Ocean Wave - Straight Pour
The ocean wave was an unexpected outcome at the end of this straight pour.
Paints were mixed 2-parts Floetrol to 1-part paint.
Colors:
Artist's Loft metallic cobalt blue
DecoArt satin enamels - dark denin
Liquitex bright aqua green
Sherwin Williams Color to Go - blue chip
Cloud recipe used in this pour:
2 parts Behr interior satin enamel ultra-pure white
1 part Vallejo pearl medium
2 parts Floetrol
Dash of Gac 800
Purple Passion Flower - Reverse Flower Dip using a napkin, inspired by @Fiona-Art
My "pouring medium" for this technique:
4 parts U.S. Floetrol
1 part Earth Pigments acrylic binder
Mix 1 part paint with 2 parts of the above mixture.
Pearl White:
1-part Chromacryl white
1-part Vallejo pearl medium
2-parts pouring medium
Galaxy Globe - Dump + Swirl Technique, inspired by Dwight Myers @dwightpours1261
To create this galactic starry night, I used metallic paints.
Recipe:
Paints were mixed with Floetrol (2 parts Floetrol; 1 part paint).
Colors: White: ArtMinds Metallic Pearl + DecoArt Cotton Ball; Modern Masters Venetian Blue; DecoArt Extreme Sheen 24K Gold; DecoArt Extreme Sheen Ruby Black: Mix of ColorPlace Onyx Black + Sherwin Williams Color to Go Tricorn Black

Pillow paint: Sherwin Williams Colors to Go
Pouring medium for this pour: Behr 8300 deep base, Minwax gloss polycrylic + Jo Sonja gloss varnish
Colors: DecoArt Texture metallic deep turquoise; DecoArt metallic silver; DecoArt Texture metallic amethyst; Atelier blue/black indigo; TLP Techno
Cell Activator: 3 parts Amsterdam Titanium White; 1 part Aussie Floetrol
Neon Comet - Traveling Open Cup Pour
I experimented with transparent neon colors over black paint on this LP vinyl record. The wispy “clouds” are remnants of the previous pour. I used plastic tubing as my “open cup”.
All paints were mixed with Floetrol (2 parts Floetrol; 1 part paint).
Colors: Mont Monte Fluro - blue, orange, purple, red Artist Loft - neon green, yellow, neon pink
Cloud mix - Artist Loft white + DecoArt satin enamels (1:1); mixed with Floetrol and water to thin
Base paint: Artist Loft Soft Body Black - thinned down with Floetrol and water
Starburst - Hairdryer "Flower" Blowout + Balloon Kisses
