I guess it was the portal and maybe NIL, I don't know but I became a big fan of women's college hoops when Oklahoma University (OU) hiring of Sherri Coale from Norman High School to coach the Sooners. She brought that team back from the brink to one of the greatest in the country. Then I noticed how great the Women's game really was. No longer were there the big 3 of UCLA/TENN/UCONN, it was other teams like OU and then later Iowa. Wow. I stayed with the game at that level because I loved the pace, transitions and full court. I even tried to fan up with the WNBA but that transition to the pros was not serious. They wanted to play some version of the NBA and that's not good. Then it happened. You You got me searching to find your game playing in college and it was hard. That era with you and others in college was a moment in time that all other moments in Women's basketball will be looked back too Just like the WNBA. When you and that class, as well as a few in front and to follow, transitioned into the pros, it was a paradine moment. Lifelong fans (I mean from the Byrd/Magic/Kareem/Wilt/etc era, that gave up on the NBA found a reason to return but to the WNBA because of you and your teammates. My love for the game is back as with millions of others. These millions also include millions of youngsters that will be lifelong fans. Something the NBA and the other pro teams have forgotten. The WNBA has a chance to take over viewership and own the fan base if they don't screw it up. And yes their doing their best to screw it up. You have way too much class to say it, but I can. You, and your teammates, deserve better coaching, ownership,league commissioner and other players. You have brought them back from complete collapse and you are being punished for your race and your game. I also want to say how much I love the current teammates you have. What a great roster. I keep hearing how to build on you and a couple of players to get to the next level, but girl, you team (and I mean current team) are at that level. Sure you have some seats to fill but not that many. Your top 6 players, because of the cohesiveness and unselfish way they play, is remarkable. Don't lose that. The owner needs to stop using the Fever as a tax right off because they are the goose that lays the golden eggs. He needs to sell to a real owner that cares and will pay the players what they have earned. This goes for your coach and gm. Not a top level college coach would not jump at the chance to lead this team. This goes for the NBA as well. I see NBA coaches that would give up the bank they get for a chance to have their legacy tied to the Fever and the WNBA explosion. They want to coach a great team to victory and not just let the bench and stars call their own game. I'm still waiting for my Men's shirt I ordered...Ha, but that's good. It shows how much the world is supporting you. I'm just an old 68 year old white guy from Oklahoma that loves the game and had lost that love till recently and it was the Women's college and now pro that's brought it back. I'm smiling. One thing about us millions of old fans that have come over to the WNBA, we are loyal, we support you in good times and bad and we are always looking forward to next year. LOYAL. But that will require the racism to stop. That is going to require adopting a full court game like we see in the Fever. New top level coaching. Bring back good scouts and get that great talent that's coming out of colleges around the country (at every level) and expand the league and national coverage. I have to work to get your games often and I have the package. Anyway, thank you and your teammates for the gift they have give me. They gave me back my love of the game. God bless
I absolutely love the entire fever team. I was so mad that I didn't get their first Game back after the Olympics break. I got like 5 other WNBA games, but why the heck wouldn't someone carry the fever game. Unbelievable. The highest rated games all season are when the fever is playing, and nope, not one carried it that I get on direct tv. It's probably biased. I know they are against President Trump and Republicans so I'm guessing they through the white chic from Iowa into the mix, too. Wouldn't surprise me at all. So much hate in america because of the biased hateful left and the liberal hateful media . GO fever and Caitlin Clark. ✊️✊️✊️fight fight fight😊
