There are too many to name! Brendan remains my favorite character ! He will return, whether or not he is played by Emmett Scanlan. In a TV series, when a character is not dead, anything can happen! All the same, this actor must be as talented as Emmett !

I would absolutely love to see Brendan Brady back in Hollyoaks. He was one of my favourite Bad Boy characters in Hollyoaks. I'd totally love to see Brendan Brady clash against Warren Fox again if he makes his return, those moments were awesome.

James is closer to be a psychopath than Brendan in his behavior. But for me James is very damaged by his past. Hollyoaks tries to tell a story why people may act like they do. If you have watched the show with Brendan, you would have noticed the change in Brendan like everyone else did that watched the show and the story between Brendan and Ste in the end. Brendan was both mentally, physically and sexually abused by his father during his whole childhood. It´s very understandable why Brendan behaved the way he did. From not being willing to admit that he was gay to having an open relationship with Ste was a very very big step for Brendan. He had his sister Cheryl and Ste to thank for a lot. Brendan wanted the best for Ste even if he behaved very badly from time to time and people can have many sides to them, both good and bad. Most viewers are able to see Brendan´s good sides though. He wanted Ste to have money to run his Deli with Doug. He wanted to protect Ste and he did against Walker. Brendan knew that his behavior and heavy criminal past wasn´t good for Ste so he finally left the village so Ste could move away with Doug despite having strong feelings for him. He saw a priest and started to change little by little. He started to change a lot after the gas explosion when he ended up in hospital and nearly died. Brendan wasn´t perfect. He hit Ste at the end as he couldn´t stand anyone saying that he was just like his father and he regret what he did and he did change. In the end he turned himself in to the police and wanted Ste to forget him so he could live his life as he wanted the best for Ste once again. Do you remember when Ste took a baseballbat and hit Brendan in the head as a revenge so he was hospitalized and it could have killed him? Many characters are violent. He took the blame for the murder of his father as he felt he owed his sister that as he wanted the best for her aswell. SO YES, HE DID CHANGE. How can you call him a psychopath after that? There have been other characters in this show that have shown much worse personalities than Brendan, like Trevor who was really violent, so I think it´s time to stop obsessing about Brendan and say that he was the worst character ever. There were two scenes with Brendan and Ste that were special to me. The scene at the empty pub in Dublin and the scene in Ste´s kitchen when Ste left Brendan at the pub with his father and then Brendan comes home and finally broke down in tears in Ste´s arms. Those scenes made me cry.
Ann-Christine Nilsson yes, Ann, it was intense! It was the time when Brendan started to confide in Steven about his painful past and let his feelings be expressed. He showed his vulnerability to Steven, it was incredible to see him, the terrible man of the village, this arrogant, showing his weakness, and Steven who wanted only one thing, to help and love him! I think we had already exchanged you and me on a scene that had marked me about them, to the latter, I must add the one where Brendan begs Steven's forgiveness in tears at the door of Steven's small business. Steven had taken refuge there to flee Brendan, who had become violent again. Finally, when they fall into each other's arms at Brendan's after Steven and Chéryl have been rescued by Doug and by Chéryl's fiancé, during Walker's vendetta

This scene was amazing but I just have to put this out there. I’m a similar age and £50 when he was a kid would be like £150 now. And cola bottles were penny sweets, little sods is wandering about with 5000 of the fuckers. 🤣 That aside good acting.

His supporters admit he did some bad things but they still defend him to the hilt. Killings were not the only bad, heinous, reprehensible things he did. Brendan used handsaw to carve up the corpse of Joel's stepdad and Brendan did so in front of Cheryl. Take care. Stay safe.

If I remember correctly, this scene ended with a pretty declaration of love from Steven to Brendan, followed by a languorous kiss. Why deprive fans of this ?
There were two scenes with Brendan and Ste that were special to me. The scene at the empty pub in Dublin and the scene in Ste´s kitchen when Ste left Brendan at the pub with his father and then Brendan comes home and finally broke down in tears in Ste´s arms. Those scenes made me cry.

He showed his vulnerability to Steven, it was incredible to see him, the terrible man of the village, this arrogant, showing his weakness, and Steven who wanted only one thing, to help and love him!
I think we had already exchanged you and me on a scene that had marked me about them, to the latter, I must add the one where Brendan begs Steven's forgiveness in tears at the door of Steven's small business. Steven had taken refuge there to flee Brendan, who had become violent again. Finally, when they fall into each other's arms at Brendan's after Steven and Chéryl have been rescued by Doug and by Chéryl's fiancé, during Walker's vendetta

Arcadie 3. How soon after this scene was the scene in which Brendan held Ste on the ground and hit him about six times in the face? I don't believe Ste was daydreaming in that scene; it was more like a nightmare to him. And in the loo of Ste's flat as Cheryl was cleaning Ste up from Brendan's beating, Brendan walked in and didn't even admit to being the one who beat Ste. I guess some would call that changing for the better.Why deprive fans of this? Take care. Stay safe.
@@koma-ho5yq Brendan did admit that he hit Ste and there you have the change. From not being willing to admit to anything, he started to be open and admit to more and more along the way.

This scene was amazing but I just have to put this out there. I’m a similar age and £50 when he was a kid would be like £150 now. And cola bottles were penny sweets, little sods is wandering about with 5000 of the fuckers. 🤣

Honestly,,, this is a bold statement, but I hope brendan stays away from the show, because let's face it, hollyoaks destroys great characters these days, kills off popular characters just for ratings and the story line's are not as good.
But I would rather see Ste with a recasted Brendan then James
