My mother-in-law bought me the 'beast' years ago - I was amazed and grateful! But I only really use 3-4 of the knives. This video has been very informative. I just turned over my table steak knives, lol.
Went to a recent demo to buy an additional knife and ran into a coworker who brought in her middle range block to upgrade to the beast. Her block was 5 yrs old. I never knew they could be upgraded. She got the additional knives and a new larger block. My current knives are a year old and daily used. Got Zwiling German knives and looking to buy a Japanese Gyuto blue steel high maintenance knife just because. In glad I don't have to sharpen cutco....just ship them in for lifetime sharpening.😊
The dinner knife and the steak knife made the table knife baby in the heat of passion while some Barry White played in the background. I bet they played some Isley Brothers, too, before that table knife baby was made. LOL!
Good video! I love my cutco. I bought the beast block from eBay. And I am buying everything on eBay. Like new condition! To save some money. I don’t have 3k to drop all at once.
Thanks for the comment! Make sure you join my FB group www.Facebook.com/groups/myknifeguy if you ever wanted all new I can match and usually beat eBay pricing FYI.
Good video-but HORIZONTAL-not vertical video would be much better-matches the natural wide view of your eyes-like widescreen movies at a theater.Just hold or support your camera phone horizontal instead of vertical.
Hey, Mike, this video reminds me exactly why I don't like cutco's sales model. You kept mentioning lines you always said. The sales are all scripted. Also, you talked about cutco knives as if they are the only high quality knives in the world. Now, that is nothing about you. You seem like a great guy and like you'd be fun to be around. I don't think any of it is intentional on your part. I just think it is part of the cutco brand. The bad thing is I don't even dislike cutco knives. I have a couple and I think they're pretty good. There are better knives, but there are also a lot worse knives. I just wish cutco marketed their knives as what they are, decent quality, long lasting, knives with great customer service. If they did that and priced their knives better, I'd be much more likely to buy cutco. Instead, if I'm going to spend that much on knives, I might as well buy a Shun and get higher quality, harder steel. Anyway, none of this was meant to be against you in any way. I enjoyed the video, and like you. I just wish cutco would change the way they operate a little bit.
Thanks for the reply. 17+ years of doing the same thing definitely can sound like a script. But to be great at anything you must practice and have repetition. I will say my channel and brand is selling Cutco. Which I’m 1,000,000 confident and proud. Keep in mind we are famous for our forever warranty and USA 🇺🇸 brand. Our biggest market is geared to the “home chef” who wants their knives to stay sharp as long as possible vs. Maintaining an edge like the higher end Japanese / German. Have a “knife” day :) reach out if I can ever help you get your stuff sharpened :)
@@myknifeguy I definitely get where you're coming from, and I've been in sales myself, so I get it. Despite my differences of opinion I really liked your video, and I do agree that cutco has great customer service.

You are great on camera. I felt like we were all sitting around your kitchen while you were barbecuing. Thanks for the info!
