Caught myself a 83cm flatty next to the sundale bridge tram station on the surfers side. Ive seen them at the jumpinpin even around 100cm but never caught one that big over there.
Caught 3 big flatties in 3 Sundays (2x day 1x night) when I was younger. 87cm 91cm and 98cm. Im going fishing tonight for the first time in years because I finally moved back to the coast (lived inland for the last 6 years)
Awesome vid mate, would love to see some bread and butter land based fishing Lake Macquarie way. Have not the mobility or funds for a boat but love to try shore basic fishing
Can't remember off the top of my head Tony as we went through a few different leads that day, we actually found that the bigger lead caught the better fish, we think it's to do with the greater impact/noise if creates while working the plastic! Really gets the fish going!
Close to the 3m river lizard! Nice fish
Great stuff guys ! Flathead fishing is so much fun !

I can't believe you went out chasing big Flathead and had a tiny net. Just not on. What are you going to do with a 90+?
I love a good challenge! Bring on a 1m+
I want to see your thumb after you use a lip grip on a metre fish! That will be fun😁.

No flathead in South America, different family. You can buy Argentine flathead but that is just an attempt to fool the Australian consumer.
ha ha thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to avoid it when ordering fish'n'chips next time in Argentina!
