Cool to see you are in touch with Salt Strong. Tell Luke I said hello. Sure learned a lot watching his tutorials and the series on knots was very productive.
Love that you are using LOTR music, especially the Riders of Rohan to show that school of bulls, looks like the Rohirrim rinding into Gondor. Oh yeah, I just went full on nerd on ya.
My husband and I get a big kick out of watching you😁. We are staying down in Corpus at the end of September. We are buying all the stuff you use. You are such a pleasure to watch and thank you for no fowl language 😊 Really really appreciate that. Have a great day💖💖💖😁
Had a school like that twice in 50 years. One on the west coast of Florida, North of Tampa and one in the Mosquito lagoon on the east coast . Just spectacular.
This is what dreams are made of. Awesome! I’ve always heard of running up on schools of reds but never had the privilege of seeing it. Great video!! Thanks for sharing brother.
Just want to give my two bits, first awesome vid Thresher! Love your content. 2nd, I have been a member of Salt Strong for about a year now and I can tell everyone that they are awesome. Great advice, great prices too, especially if you are a member. Thresher, you should see if you could be like an employee for them ! They really only have one expert down here Wyatt Parcel and you could definitely help out with this area!
That was e-p-i-c!! So much fun watching this vid!! So glad that you did 'not' give up and stayed on the 'fish' and therefore, was able to provide us with this vid. Thanks for sharing and continue to do so and have fun...fun...fun!! (And be SAFE out there!!) #NorthernFishaHolic

Man thresh! I fish there 3-4 times a week. I’ve been fishing in the evening the last 3 night of there but no luck. Dude that was a nice size red. I love your videos bro. There awesome and help out so much. That water is very hot out there right now but guarantee their there. Your drone footage is sick and water is clear.
Been watching this channel for over a year. Love this guy. Not sure why he is not guide fishing. Maybe more money in youtube? He could combine guide fishing with this and kill.
Hey whatup Coop. Me and my gf got to meet ya last week when out fishin by the bridge. Thanks for takin the time my dude. Love the vids. We were hittin PB black drums the whole day after we talked. You brought the luck. Till next time
i do not know if it is or is not, i am not familiar with that area. But I GoogleMapsed it and that part of the bay down there literally said “Redfish Bay” on the map haha. I thought that was cool.
I’ve always fished with live bait, but I’m starting to get into lure fishing. What’s the general rule of thumb for colors? How do you know what color lure Tobias in the water ? Or is white just a go to?
bad ass videos!! came across your videos a couple of years ago and just started watching you again. question. you had a Clark Cougars shirt on in another video. I know thats up here in San Antonio. Is the shirt you have on at the end of this video for Stevenson middle school?? I'm two blocks away from that school. my son went there two years ago.
awwww sheee Salt Strong convinced ‘eem to accept a sponsorship. That is good though lol. He should do whatever sponsorships he deems good enough for him and his channel.
@@bobgill4069 bullshit...caught a bunch of reds and trout on their stuff. And who cares what job they used to have...they make a good product now. The Down South Lures owner used to sell sand and gravel...

Great Video Bro... Question for you what kind of wading belt are you using? I noticed you have a box of the your favorites stuck to your back.. velcro?
I usually fly fish cold water in AR for trout but this video makes me want to visit TX. If you can tell me, where were you on this video I may come down.
Hey Thresher, I live in your area and want to get into this style of fishing, do you have any rod and reel recommendations for a somewhat beginner? My pole right now is too big for this stuff and want more active fishing.
Get a medium action 7.5’ spin cast rod and reel. Spincast better in windy conditions. Invest in a nice reel that will hold up under saltwater environments.
In the Pacific there are large schools of Giant Trevally, Amber Jacks and barracuda that follow bait fish schools. Those Predators are alwaysbelow them ambushing up and thru the school making it them part, The schools look like a purple spot in the blue water that turns into a purple looking donut every few seconds.. I love to throw a big treble into the baitfish schools and snag one. The whole bait school quickly gets away from the injured baitfish, abandoning it and leaving it to stand out in the clear water.. Sometimes Just the tiny baitfish scales falling through the water column will trigger some awesome strikes... I use 6 inches of 27 pound wire leader tied directly to the line with the treble.. Snagging is illegal in some areas but I only snag a few. I always get a hook up on all of the snagged baits.. They flash around a lot once the hook rips into them. Way more flashing and struggling than simply hooking a bait does.. They get noticed as vulnerable and injured right away.. As soon as the others get away from the injured fish, its hit hard.. Legally I could throw a net in and get 20 live bait fish or many more but they eventually will die/get eaten once they are taken from the school and thrown back in the ocean somewhere else when I am done fishing.. Unused Baitfish need to be released back into their bait fish schools for their own protection or they will get noticed in a small group and ate fairly quick.. Snagging might be illegal but is actually a more conservative way for my style of fishing.... It Should be allowed more often. Its very fun to snag fish bait schools they are under attack by large predators all frenzied up. OK, thats it, Im done. Now those wanna be game wardens can comment on this...

When you are standing up in that little boat, do you feel secure from not tipping it over? It looks like it is too small for standing up.
The grab rack makes it a usable vessel, I would not like it without it. But it is still far from perfect.
Would have been awesome to buy some lures from them but they don't ship to South Africa..
Assuming the same applies for Indonesia, but the shipping costs are crazy. FedEx a letter to the USA $50 bucks. 😨

Thresher post more broooo btw when you gonna come to poc??
