Thanks for sharing the video. Very insightful. I first encountered Ms. Shinoda's works when I visited the Ren Art Gallery in northern California in 1996. I saw Ms. Shinoda's works again at the Isetan Shinjuku Art Gallery, Japan in 2018. I also bought a book "人生は一本の線" authored by her at the age of 104, full of artistic images of her works and words of wisdom. Ms. Shinoda is my role model!
Hi, do you know what type of inkstone she used. Looks like Ogatsu or Amahata. Do you have a chat forum you belong to?? So can with you about these artists. I just recently discovered the "Bokujinkai". I am amazed. It is a terrific word to say. I think it could really make them all very popular, because it is memorable, neat to say and covers something special. I would be indebted to you, if I could learn just a litter of what you know about these artists. Plus the newer artists. Thank you. Both Japanese and Chinese art many times sits on the edge of abstract expressionism. Thank you!
