  • Matt P., a Missouri resident, was gearing up for an active retirement when he was diagnosed with a rare bacterial infection. His wife, Michelle, was told that he had a 1% chance of survival. But survive he did, even following sepsis that led to the loss of all four of his limbs. Ever since, he’s been engaged in intensive inpatient and DayRehab therapy at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
    Matt focuses not on what he’s lost, but on the new beginning he’s starting.

    I had the pleasure of meeting Matt during my stay at Shirley Ryan ability lab, he’s a fighter, a inspiration to all, he’s a great guy! I’m so proud of you Matt!!!
