  • Recent years in the dental industry have witnessed an influx of new technologies, and relatively few of them have emerged as potential game-changers. 3D printing has proven its place as an innovative, transformative technology that is here to stay and drive meaningful change.
Join Dr. Elisa Praderi, dentist and Clinical Protocols and KOL Manager at Formlabs, for a walk through of the basics of 3D printing. She will conduct a step-by-step demonstration of printing a model to illustrate the ease of use and provide a real-world sense of a standard workflow.
    Dr. Praderi will also discuss:
    - The benefits and applications of 3D printing in the dental practice
    - An overview of the technical underpinnings of 3D printing, such as additive manufacturing and stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing
    - How to implement the structure and management needed to successfully integrate this workflow into your practice and get your team on board

How strong are the 3D printed crown resins post curing and would they withstand fracture if placed in the posterior region? Are they a viable option for permanent posterior crowns?

Some of the numbers in this presentation are not accurate. A single study model on the Formlabs 3B takes 3 hours! Also the layer heights you quote of 100 and 200 microns are way to large for an appliance. You need 25 or 50 microns. Another error..the time for wash etc, it takes time to transfer and clean up the mess.
The lady doing the scanning, that was well speeded up! Stop misleading the newbies!
