Can I just ask, don't expect an answer but is there any chance that next season these awesome people would come over to the UK and do a show or two from here? It would be a sell out! Plus as a bonus there are a lot of great boozers in London to explore and enjoy!

In defense of Gravedigger, I was living in Lake Jackson, TX ('about an hour south of Houston) when the Oilers left town, and it was as he says. A local radio station had a "box drive" where people could bring boxes to help the Oilers pack their shit. Locals had an attitude of "don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you". I don't remember anyone supporting the Oilers as they left.

The thing that drove me nuts in the Packers-Bears game was that challenge required by Matt LeFleur. The fact that they called it a catch on the field, and then replay assist stepped in and and incorrectly called it incomplete is crazy. The whole point of replay assist is to make the calls more accurate, and they literally made it worse.

Actually a great analysis of the Commanders game, sometimes they go down rabbit holes but this was really dialed in on the team. They're overperfoming the talent of the roster but Daniels doesn't feel close to his ceiling yet so there's potential if other elements step up for him to author some real upsets.

I don’t think KC thought about the Bengals at all when resting their starters. The Bengals beat 6 teams with top 10 picks, the Cooper Rush Cowboys, and the 2 lowest AFC playoff teams. Not to mention they wouldn’t even see them until the conference championship, which would mean they would have knocked out the Ravens or Bills on the way

As an English football fan, I never understood why people were so critical of Mayo for calling his team soft. Maybe in soccer there's more of an understanding that everything a coach says to the media should be used psychologicallly either on your own players, your opponents, rivals, referees etc. Calling your own team soft would be a classic, obvious example of playing the bad guy, challenging your own players to prove you wrong by hitting them where it hurts. And didn't the Pats actually win their next game after that? Didn't seem like some big no-no on his part to me

But after watching fragments of the games yesterday, I really think he should've played for that record. It would've been worth the risk. Marc was right. It would've meant something larger for the Eagles that could never be taken away. Nowthey have to win the Super Bowl, which they mightvedone anywqy, or the season is pppbbblllttt.

"The Detroit Lions 15-2." 4th in points scored for a season in NFL history while being one of 2 teams this season to put up at least 30 points on the Vikings in 2024 and they did it twice. The only other team to do it was the Rams who played the Vikings after the first Lions game at home on a Thursday night game. Why doesn't Jared Goff get any MVP respect for what he has accomplished? Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees never got dissed as pocket passers not that long ago and won awards. I do not understand how the QB of the Lions with his team having the best story, best record, best TV ratings along with mind boggling record setting stats is not given a chance at winning the MVP for 2024, or for 2023 for that matter. Some bad bias at play here.

    • @cameron8779
      @cameron8779 16 днів тому

Who cares about season statistical records when the season is a game longer? The answer lies in the fact that MVP is a popularity contest. Clearly Mahomes deserves it again this year. He makes clutch plays feel routine and had the best record. But writers get tired of giving it to one guy over and over. Drew Brees was also never popular enough with sports writers to win an MVP. He could have retired with Super Bowl wins against Manning and Brady but the refs robbed him of that. It's gonna be hilarious when the Steelers beat Lamar and everyone will be questioning his MVP status.

Playing Mahomes to keep Bengals out would (I think) mean they were playing the Bengals to stop them getting in? Unless it's some bizarre permutation with same record scenario.

The Titans have the rights to wear it, not the right to wear it.
I’ve lived in Cleveland, Houston and Nashville. I was born a Browns fan, hated the Oilers, watched all that crap of them leaving from Houston, became a Browns/Texans fan and never gave a damn about the Titans.
The folks saying Houston had its chance to fight for its team and didn’t don’t understand what they’re talking about it.
The person telling you not to leave can love you just as much as the one telling you go if you’re going to go. Cleveland just saw it more as owning the Browns was just the right to say that you own the Browns. Houston understood who owned the Oilers, but that it doesn’t really mean that you own its history and achievements or any of that.
    You ain’t Houston.
    You ain’t the Oilers.
Why do you get to dress like the Houston Oilers?
The Rams might not be St. Louis anymore, but they’re still the Rams. Raiders aren’t Oakland or LA, but they’re still the Raiders.
    Texans ain’t the Oilers,
but Houston is still fuckin’ Houston.
And while I hated the Oilers and don’t know if I could’ve become a fan of them like I did with the Texans and the fresh start that had, those colors ain’t Nashville…
    That’s Houston.
Titans uniforms don’t mean anything when I look at them. But the Oilers uniforms? I still hate them. They’re great and classic, but everything about them is the team I used to hate when they faced my Browns. How did those colors. Hated the Oilers. Hated Houston. Cause that’s all the same thing. They’re classic. They are iconic. But I still feel that hate for them. And just like my feelings for the city has changed living here and dealing with hurricanes and hellish summers, my feeling about those uniforms are changing too because of my friends who still feel like it’s history that was stolen from them.
    Anyone saying otherwise: total Clownshoes.

Tom Brady might be the worst Color commentator since Jason Witten.📣

If Chris Collinsworth hadn't been born, maybe. just because you resent Brady for beating everyone for twenty years straight doesn't mean it's OK to be unreasonable.

How has a once true fandom come to this woeful position? It's Graver, a jerk billionaire, and a smattering of cultish Titans fans fighting against decency versus every single other gridiron football fan in the world. May you play like the Oilers 4 life!

...or at least until you stop being shmucks about the uniforms. Sorry to the many rational and kind-hearted Titans fans out there!
