I used to rebuild these things (and 1650's) at MinuteMan press HQ here in NY. Initially we would de-gunk them with lacquer thinner (about a 2 day process) then I had the bright idea to try a hot water pressure washer, cut it down to 2 or 3 presses a day! very messy for the pressure washer operator, We had a paint booth and would paint them, I wonder if the orange and tan/gray ones I see on YT are the ones we rebuilt around 1992-1993. I also figured out the water ductor roller timing was off on a lot of these things. We would easily get them to run 10k IPH when we were done
How do i print board 300gsm cant seem to pick it up on feeder jams all the time replaced pump think its to weak but thin paper great rhank you for you video really help
I worked for AM International from 1977 to 1981. Serviced machines at aerospace companies in El Segundo, City Halls and school districts. Fun time. Too bad they invented the Xerox machine. All of those automated machines disappeared. Great video. Brings back memories.

Hi Buddy can u maybe assist I can't get a proper image on my paper? Not sure if it's my damper unit.. looks clear but I used a new damper clear I was told to wash it out again could be the damper cleaner but tried still the same .. cleaned the machine 3 times?? Image very light plate don't ink up properly

hola.. disculpen yo tengo una maquina multilith 1250.. tengo un grave problema.Me pasa agua a los rodillos de tinta (forma). el sistema de mojado esta bien.Me indican que es porque el rodillo metálico (fibra) que pasa tienta a los rodillos de forma esta con desgaste por culpa de usar mal el lavador.Por favor me puede indicar cualquier opinión para solucionar el problema.Creo que tal vez es por que hay poca presión entre los rodillosPor favor su ayuda.Gracias.

boa noite , companheiros gráficos , está acontecendo algo muito estranho na minha multilith 1250. É o seguinte quando coloco a alavanca de comando no estágio da tinta na chapa , a tinta dos rolos tipo raleia e não pega na chapa , mas quando volta só pra posição 1 rolo só na chapa a tinta fica normal ,mexe na alavanca e começa a ralear de novo já troquei o moletom e continua a mesma coisa se alguém tiver uma ideia do que seja eu agradeço , obrigado
