@@sammylau4266 yeah I'm ok with it, but I would have been ok had nature taken its course as well, if the little one survives, it'll mate and the offspring will go on to push other baby birds outta their nests, but yeah, I'm cool if the guy has been feeding it off camera, even if it was done to keep the views coming in, I'm definitely hooked on this series😂

I give the guy benefit of the doubted. All these clips are merely fraction of a day. We don't really know how much the bird feeding too. There will be time host chicks rest to digest food, that the only moment cuckoo can get to eat something.

I suspect it was the feather of nest mate that stop triggering cuckoo push instinct. Otherwise it will push Parent bird while occupying nest alone . This is my gut telling me, I hope they do experiment like raising birds by hand until they develop feather then mix a new born cuckoo in the nest
Yes abd if the coo cop chick starves to death the mother coo coo bird will y in there kill tbe other 2 chicks and rip the nest apart so it can't be used in case the host birds want to try to nest again . They are very vindictive that way.

I don't think so. Cuckoo has to be fed by the person shooting the video. With no food from the parents (and clearly it gets none as the siblings take everything) it should be long dead already.
