Just FYI you guys repotted the plant directly on to the big pot it will rot as it doesn’t have drainage holes . I might be wrong it might have drainage 😊. Ideally you should plant in a thin container pot in order to pop in the display pot . Ideally there should be a difference of 3 inches between both pots if it helps. Don’t worry you are not the only one who struggle to find the perfect size pot 😅. Doing good 🎉❤
That is definitely the best layout for the sofa. Look at the space it freed up for the dining area. I always enjoy seeing people style their homes.
That repositioning of the sofa looks so much better as mentioned it provides ample space.

I’m still team ‘sofa fully facing the view’ but think it’s great you are trying different options . Only you know how you will use the apartment day to day and what would suit best❤

Hint for Outdoor Furniture. Find a higher end oonsigment place. Sometimes you can get good deal on some lightly used outdoor furniture. It's going outside anyway....so it will look used in about a month. Just as well buy it used.
Defo like the sofa on that wall BUT could short the section, that is along the window detach and go on the other side. To do a slight divide between the living space and the kitchen ??

The latest position for the sofa is best. I think you said the last tenant had it there too so, chances are they've done the same as you. 😄 Id suggest moving the sofa down slightly away from the window and pop your big plant in the gap it creates. You'll be better lined up for watching TV, it will defuse some of the view of your closest building and take away the barrier/block the plant creates when you walk into your living area. Just a suggestion. 💁🏼♀️😘

This setup against the wall is so much better. It makes your home look bigger and spacious. Gives you more room to add your dinning table and the island you mentioned on getting.
Love it on back wall, but move chaise bit to otherside so not obstructing window 👌
I'd put your sofa in its 3rd position but further forwards to break the room up a little as you have a LOT of floor space now. Possibly then put a dining table behind it. Love the content as always both - aim high. You'll have that 1.2m boat in no time I've no doubt.
The first sofa setup in the last vlog is the best because you can put the dinning room table behind the sofa and setup the TV on the wall the sofa is facing, but the last configuration is cool too! Love your vlogs!

Up against the wall might work with a low tv furniture and modest tv at the edge of the carpet. Say 55 inch. When it's close and bright it should be plenty clear.
This setting looks a lot better and more spacious. You can also put some paintings maybe on the empty walls. 😊
Sofa is right imho against the wall but can the two seats against the glass facing ineards be moved on the opposite side facing outwards. That way you gain the whole view through all the windows. Then have a console table at the at the backs of the 2 seats. The pkant can go back to its original place in the corner near the right window. Just gorgeous!
Yes totally agree! I think it’s actually easier for us viewing it on screen than it is for them being kind of right on top of it all 😂. Also the table works beautifully in the bedroom, it’s somehow a little too “rounded” for the living area. And positioning of a table is going to be tricky. The only place I can see it working is basically in the position you would naturally place a kitchen island. Anywhere else it’s going to block the view or the tv projector. Loving watching it all come together though.

What you need is a retractable projector screen like this one mounted on the side of the window. So you can retract it when needed CENTURY-STAR-100-inch-Pull-Down/ screen this is manual but maybe a motorised one will be better.
Wall sofa position is great! Very enjoyable vlog. You are well organised and have it all together. Enjoy!
Nice place! We also love south FL. We have owned two Scout center consoles with t tops. They really kicked off the luxury trend in the center console world.and you should give them a look before buying a boat. An d yes the current sofa config is the most optimal.

This is how I’d wanted it placed when I first saw your living room. Never have your back facing the door. Also, do not block the windows with sofas, keep the space free. Now this looks better. Place the huge plant towards the right corner of the room (to block the view of the white building). It looks great, otherwise.

Yes on the wall there is the best for the couch and get some smaller chairs like Matt said to look straight out.

Everyone is Going to have a different opinion on here which you asked for our opinions. 😂 Some were probably not what you wanted 😅 I went with the window view and that sofa is Amazing and not too big. You have to have it how you want to. Myself personally that view is awesome & I think you might be moving the furniture again 😂 Chase bank is now in the uk. I believe it’s American. You need to get a telescope, for looking over the view of the bay to see the yachts etc.
I like the sofa there, makes the room looks so big. Not sure about the dining table thought, I think maybe just get a bigger apartment? 🤣😂
I would just rent one as you are staying for a year in Miami aren't you or a reconditioned 2nd hand one as a couple who own a chateau bought a second hand one and they are chuffed with it their channel is 'How to Renovate' Anna and Philipp :) measure your pots and go 2 sizes larger than the original pot so if you have to repot it again you will still have space. I thought about that latest setting of the sofa and you will be facing your dining table and so much space in between I prefer it in your original placing.
Maybe fb marketplace/Offerup but be careful using it might find some patio furniture ;) You need a table for your kitchen something for prep and to sit at to have breakfast with 2 seats. Use the dining for formal dinners. Bistro tables for the patio with chairs. Your dining table is too small for dining I think better where you moved it to or as a desk. I found a company named Nadeau seemed to have some high and lower cost furnishings.

I don’t like the sofa against the wall, yes it gives the most space but I don’t think it looks the best and when you get your dinning table you will staring at/over the table for the view/tv/projector. I would slide it forward so the dining table can go where the sofa is now. I did like it facing the windows I think it looked best that way but not sure how you fit a dining table in with that configuration

I think the dining table looked a bit narrow...but I suppose if it's just the two of you it's fine. Looks good in the bedroom as a desk/makeup table. I'd get a slightly wider table (~1m or more) if you want to entertain family/friends comfortably. Just my opinion.

Watching him struggle to squeeze the plant in hurt my soul 😂😅 just remove the plastic pot and loosen the dirt. Itll slip right in and look more natural and if you need more dirt or take out some you can.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually think the table looks better as a dressing table, I think it looks odd in your living room lol.
keep the dining table in the bedroom . it is too small for your space , looks lost in the lvrm.
You need a proper interior designer , I can fly to Miami for you if you want , I can help you with interior design . Good idea to change the sofa position , and buying the flowers , good idea . that carpet color and that brown tale do not match well with the sofa and the apartment , but its ok as long as you love it , its fine

6:30 i am still very confused at HOW did you guys go about choosing this place with this "floor" plan. you have toured MANY FLOOR PLANS ALL OVER THE WORLD and you chose THIS. I am offended LOL.... THIS IS NOT A SUITABLE REPRESENTATION OF MIAMI LIVING! The view gets a lot of people but this aint as good as many others in Miami! Who was your agent? OMG!!!

This is the best configuration of the sofa and the table works well in the bedroom. I feel you need a square table to replicate the shape of the sofa and the kitchen layout. Keep the plants as they soften the corners of the room. Matt suggested a kitchen island and this may work better than a formal dining table.

There's pros and cons to all of them but I feel like this is the best one yet. It's amazing how vast the room looks now as well. Plus, I love what Matt was saying about the dining table. Now you could have dinner together and look out at the gorgeous view. 😍 But again, don't let us pressure you. You need to ultimately go with whatever YOU BOTH think is best since you will be the ones living there 🙏

Love watching the process of you starting a new life in Miami. Love the table! ❤ it's true in Florida when it rains it pours. Be very careful especially if you're on the highway you may need to pull over because sometimes it rains so hard you can't see.
The right place for your sofa is wherever you want it.
It's not because the living area isn't big enough.
Love Cigarettes, way out of my price range though. I have had Formula and Fountain powerboats in the past though.

I think I’d get a glass dining table as it wouldn’t block the view as much! Also that one blends with the floor/coffee table a bit so works great as a dressing table.
