It was all going so well until Samantha handed the ashtray to Endora and Darren said “she doesn’t need any of that other nonsense.” and answering for Samantha, saying he “likes her just the way she is.” and what she doesn’t need. Endora was right, Samantha is who she is, despite her deciding not to use magic. 😬
Endora is very much right. And her anger towards Darren is very much understood. And with each year of her life ANY sane young woman understands it better. :)
He states in a couple episodes that he is afraid for her safety if humans found out and he is also very traditional and wants to take care of her. He feels that if she has magic she has no use or appreciation of him.
Furthermore, Samantha married a mortal precisely BECAUSE she was bored with the witches’ way of life. The whole premise was that Darrin was such a special, exciting mortal, she couldn’t marry anyone else. She also didn’t tell Darrin she was a witch until AFTER they were married, so it’s only FAIR that she agreed not to use her powers, except maybe in emergencies. Otherwise, Samantha is rather guilty of a bait and switch on poor Darrin!

"What is normal to you young man is to us, asinine" This is a very judgemental statement. Endora is a hypocrite. She was being judgemental toward Darrin from the time she walked in. She was very condescending.
He basically called their way of life nonsense and abnormal. Also, in later episodes it's revealed that the council of witches may make Samantha mortal based on her marriage. He has in essence potentially killed Endora's daughter. Likewise their children could become mortal.
That first look from Darrin was so precious.
My mother-in-law was Agnes Moorehead I would be in shock for all the wonderful movies that she played in😁

3:54 - “ABNER!!!”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Both of their dresses are amazing
She was beautiful and so classy here.
I totally side with Endorra here. Darrin has no right to forbid Samantha in using her powers. If he loves her, he should let her be who she is.
Wrong. Witchcraft is demonic and should be rejected. Tv show or real life. Makes no difference.
I Like when Darrin, stands up to Endora, and Like it when Mrs Gravitz has to take her medicine.

Agnes Moorehead is buried in Dayton Memorial Park, Ohio. Not too far from where I reside in Ohio.❤
That’s awesome 😎
Darrin married a Witch. I never understood why he wouldn’t allow her witchcraft? Why not accept her for who she was?

simple, baby. it`s typical male shovinism, coming from the fear of a woman`s strength. :))

Endorra has a point. Magic is a gift for Samantha, Darrin definitely is a bit controlling.
He can be, but I think in this clip he's trying to be protective.
Only a bit? 😂

See how bewitch is reuning the life of normal people

Great episode!. But Darrin was wrong for trying to change the woman you love and marry.
Agreed.
Samantha made the decision herself to avoid witchcraft. See 2:50 time mark.
@@salvation4all313 Correct.

I don’t think we’ve ever seen Endora smoke after this episode.
sublime !
It is so hysterical: you get married to a witch, and the most difficult issue is ticky tack arguments with the mother in law. What a hoot.
❤ Endora
Do you the entire episodes in parts? I've watched several but can't find the last half of them
Gladys Kravitz 's Maiden Name was Grouber, though I am Not sure if I spelled her name right.
Sincerely 🤠 Mr Severance,
"The Cake 🥮🍰🎂🥳🎉 Man".
@0:21 I never understood that reaction. Why did she stop?
You are right. It is strange.

She only got his name right….Once 🤔
I missed it, though.
Just re-watched, she said "Mr. Stevens". Now I see your point!
That was so stupid of Darrin sooo stupid..
Endora is nuts.
he should of worn brown trousers
I Like when Darrin, stands up to Endora, and Like it when Mrs Gravitz has to take her medicine.
He only stands up to Endora because Samantha is there to get him out of trouble. If Samantha was magicless, no way he would pick a fight with Endora.
@@danielvo4754 I agree with you
@@danielvo4754 He wouldn't have to because if Samantha was magicless then Endora would possibly be magicless.
