I appreciate you both being so raw with us, we are all human and it is natural to have insecurities ❤ for myself, I try to use the mindset of improving my mental health rather than body because when I focus on my body, I feel like it can become toxic and never ending. and you are right about it being like a drug, because its basically another form of a coping mechanism. I find its helpful to either find an alternative (I now read a book for a distraction), or do a deep dive on what you need to heal within (the coping mechanism is a symptom of the problem).
Guys I love both of you guys so much and I can genuinely listen to you for hours. Also there is this quote I came across which “if it’s not meant to be you (you and your partner) will never be at peace “. This quote really changed my perspective on things.

But please don't equate your partners buying you things and spoiling you (out of their own accord) as 'they've done soooo much for me' when their behavior that actually contributes to the health of the relationship and your mental health isn't good. It's very easy to buy someone something, but very difficult to be a good partner where it counts (actions such as prioritizing time with your partner is more important), and so don't be swayed by the artificial things, because those things are easy to replicate and don't require a level of emotional capabilities.

Anna I 100% feel you on the junk food habit. I very recently got to the point where I was just sick of eating shit all the time so I did a big food shop of healthier foods which will actually benefit me and make me feel better! Sometimes healthy eating can feel like you can’t enjoy food anymore but that’s not the case. You don’t have to be a health freak but just think about foods that will make you feel better inside x
For example I wrote down healthy meals I like in my notes then bought all the stuff for it. So for breakfast it’s usually a cheese omelette or non fat Greek yoghurt with frozen raspberries, lunch is brown bread ham lettuce tomato reduced fat cheese sandwich (MY FAVE SOOO YUM). And dinner I do chilli or chicken / halloumi salad. It doesn’t have to be 100000% clean and healthy just more protein, fibre etc xx

You wanna feel better, go to the middle of nowhere for a week somewhere with poor signal, a kitchen and minimal things to do, just nature and self discovery. You’ll get annoyed at first cuz you won’t be consuming all the sugar and social media and all that crap but it’s the best way to reassess your true values and health

Girls I honestly think what you're going through is a normal 30s thing (with being self concious). I started doing the same when I turned 30, and I'm 32 now and even worse! I think in our 20s, we have different priorities, and now we are in our 30s our priorities have changed and we are now more aware of different things.

There isn't a fan favourite here. Yes people comment that Mandi's funny however, we all watch the podcast to listen to both of you. You both bring two very different dynamics to the podcast. Mandi being a little more sarcastic/jokey and Anna who steers the conversation and brings a different outlook.
