I have that same reel in my cart waiting for me to buy! Also it’s cool seeing the new kayak out in the water!
When flipping look for holes and thinner spots in the vegetation. The little changes in the vegetation holds fish often. It allows them to sit under the thicker stuff and attack in those thinner spots or holes. Just like when frog fishing youre looking fir spots to pause the frog and get that blow up. Love flipping stuff but i dont do as much as i should anymore 😂.
Don't worry bro I don't have much luck on a wacky worm here in Central Alabama either lol. I use a weightless Texas rigging stick bait to catch them instead
Thank you for the tips sir!
great video Larry. perfect timing for me since i just picked up some tungsten weights to devote some time to work on flipping and punching this weekend too. its always humbling to test out something different. I agree with you on the unnecessary risk as far as holding the hook goes. i am too easily distracted and would definitely hook myself more than i'd hook the fish 😂
Letsssssssssss gooooooo! Love the vids Larry!
Great video let's go larry happy 4th of July
You should make stickers that say “Larry catches the biggest bass” that i can put on the back window of my car
LET"S GOOOO!!! Larry flips and the script and still catches BIG FISH!!! So glad to see you challenge yourself!!! That is why I first subscribed when I saw you try a new style of reel! You kept it real and gave a real opinion. Real sees Real! FOR REEL!!!
Great video
Cool thumbnail
i’m with you on the pitching i don’t hold that lure in my hand period i feel that hook metal in my hand as i fling it no matter how i hold it screw that it ain’t worth it to me either that’s one ol school skill im ok wit not learning ill flip and pitch without having the hooks on my hand
If you ever make ur way done to Kansas I know some fire coal mine strip pits with some giants that are private perfect to put ur kayak in pb caught out of there was 9 pounds
Braid is ideal for flipping heavy grass like that
+1 Engagement Aura
ive only seen you on the bank, this is cool to see you on a yak
Bro why do you use those big J hooks instead of Gamakotsu I wide worm hooks? Just curious, it wouldn't tear your baits up as bad and the hook up would be be better.
Honestly that’s a good question. My reason is that’s what i’ve seen everyone else use. The thick J hooks are definitely better for the style of fishing since they are thicker.
Awesome, meeting you at the Bassmasters on Smith Lake. I was the one in the Googan American flag shirt and hat on Friday
@@IBenFishin you know your frail ass wouldn't say that in person.
Nice to meet you bro!
@@IBenFishinhow is saying "awesome meeting you" meat riding?
Larry let’s see another tournament but an easy one that u can win
Gotta let that weightless wacky rig sink a little longer before moving it and you’ll be golden
What about a live q&a?
Flipping and punching are like a drug
Agreed!
Great video up size your weight and slow down a little, remember it's heavy cover. Change your hook wide gap.
As soon as I heard the frogs I would have switched to frogs 😂😂
Great content......... would love to see you do speed worms and grubs
Any tips for braid on baitcasters? I tried it recently and my reel just wasn't taking line. Once I switched back to monofilament it was smooth as butter.
On all my braid reels i’ll fill the spool a little more than 1/4 of the way with a cheap mono from Walmart. The mono backing will help the braid not to dig into itself.
if your going to pitch grass your missing the stumps and poles they lay on the shadow side of them to
punch the grass to
Try flipping with your right hand
love your videos #ladyoutdoors
Thank you!
if i miss this shot i gotta cheat on my gf 😏😏
