this is so good. Thank you, I think it is so good that you tell the size and the threads on the peace you are using
Happy to hear you enjoyed it.
A first class video demonstration. Thank you.
Fun to watch. How do you drill the hole for a cord?
That's a nicely done video, Dan. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Nice job. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome!
The double sided tape would hold the block for the first fixing, but it could get in the way and gum things up when parting off for reversing.
These aren't just necklace pendants - they have a variety of purposes. They make great zipper pulls for sweaters and jackets, and can also be used a light pulls. The technique can also be used to make decorative buttons.
Like the idea of a concave jig, and using a contour gage to determine the required shape.
Can you use double-sided tape to do the first fixing rather than CA glue?
I suppose that you could, but I never tried it. Try it an let me know how it works out.
Replying 8 years later to say I use double sided tape to face both sides.
Excellent tutorial on pendants with many very useful tips, is the Pdf still available?
Thanks
James
The paper is still available. Sent an email to gwa-turner@hotmail.com and request the Basic Necklace Pendant paper.
@@dandouthart633do you still have the paper instructions on the pendants? I would like to have a set of you do.
Excellent tutorial.....thanks for sharing..... Anaco, Anz.
You're welcome!
Do you use the Mylands sealer full strength?
Dan, what is the tool called that you used to measure the contour?
Brian Worrell It is called a Contour Gauge. I bought that one several years ago at Highland Woodworking and have since seen what looks identical at Harbor Freight. The price on the one at Harbor Freight of $4.99 is less than half of what I paid for mine. The Harbor Freight item number is #907.
