Of course the Bible is/was true. It’s a history book. People back then just didn’t understand science, natural disasters, etc… so some of the stories come off as tall tales because of this.
This account proves the Old Testament, or the Torah (the Jewish "Bible") has very very few changes since 600 to 700 BCE, which has never been doubted. This CAN NOT be said for much of the "New Testament" which takes real faith to accepted as Gods' unchanging words.
Not true we have 1,000’s of pieces from the first century and continues in all the centuries then we have 1,000’s of other writings letters etc from “church fathers” etc which also includes scripture quotes The New Covenant is fully validated and backed up by the archaeological evidence Unlike the koran which is totally false, the place, time, book, and man all are proved manmade and centuries later More importantly it is a different message from a different god Read Galatians 50 AD.
Many such findings and pieces of evidence and many many things in the Bible itself prove it's true. When you put them all together it's insurmountable evidence.
@@wayneramquist367 Wayne, you haven't responded correctly to my statement. It is my experience that this is common amongst believers. Have another go bro.
@@davidkottman3440 agree, there are many statements in the Bible which are historically correct. Belief in their gods and religious practices are also valid aspects of their cultural practices. However, as is the case with every other religion the belief that these beliefs are true is clearly wanting.
It isn’t pronounced Jaway the letter that is the first letter to make up. The name of God in the text is not pronounced as a J. There are various ways to pronounce that letter, and it depends on whether there are certain markings underneath to tell you how to pronounce it but when there is no it is because, this is so that non-Jews would not pronounce God’s name June already no not to pronounce it when they see that there is no markings that tell you specifically how to say it and they are various versions of what God name is each one having a different aspect of what God is intended at that point in time to be in the manor of speaking like like is the aspect at that point in time, one of pure justice or one of anger or one of whatever it’s an aspect is considered aspect like the facets on a diamond. So now that pronunciation is incorrect do I know the correct pronunciation? I have a pretty good idea of the correct pronunciation what I use it or presented here in the answer is no because of the fact that I cannot be certain. If I am pronouncing it properly I have problems with speech and I use voice to text to write for me and it doesn’t always put things down as I would like it to do so it sometimes misspell words it sometimes does not punctuate at all, and this is what I have to deal with because I do not have to use my fingers.
Not so. It is God and only God who gives life and faith, Acts13:48, so that we know that His written Word is true by His Holy Spirit freely given to those of his calling. Isn't it strange that people need an inscribed stone dug up in some far off land to prove the authenticity of Holy Scripture as coming from God, while standing anywhere on His creation does not?
I believe the Bible; but the statement that any single historical item “proves’ the Bible as a whole is true! Patent falsehoods weaken the issue rather than strengthen it.
Thanks for the presentation. Archeology is very useful as it shows what and who the Bible talks about actually happened and existed. Just as this Moabite find has done. Many other finds have corroborated Bible accounts and prophecies where previously Bible skeptics has said the Bible was false. For example, an ancient inscription bearing Pontius Pilate's name was found in 1961 at Caesarea in the ruins of a Roman theater. It also refers to the “Tiberieum,” a building Pilate dedicated in honor of Tiberius. Before this was found it was said the Bible description of Pilate was false as he didn't exist. Also the Cyrus Cylinder (a clay table) was excavated at the ancient site of Sippar on the Euphrates, about 20 miles from Baghdad in 1879. The Cylinder was inscribed in Babylonian cuneiform on the orders of the Persian king Cyrus the Great after he captured Babylon in 539 B.C. It marks the establishment of Persian rule and records how Cyrus restored shrines and allowed captured deported peoples to return home. This secular source harmonizes with the amazing Bible prophecy stated some 200 years earlier where Isaiah, said of Medo-Persian ruler who would be named Cyrus: “‘He is my shepherd, and all that I delight in he will completely carry out’; even in my saying of Jerusalem, ‘She will be rebuilt.’” -Isaiah13:1, 17-19; 44:26-45:3 (see also 2 Chron. 36:23) Before Cyrus it was not the practice of conquering nations to allow people they had captured to go back home and rebuild their city or temples. So, this prophecy was not realistic at all, yet it came true. Have a nice day😊

Duh. Of course he’s speaking about God. Was that not clear? I don’t know “Jah-way” is either, but he’s clearly speaking about YHWH. It’s not that hard to see. Also, the “J” sound absolutely existed before medieval times, like what??

This stone does no such thing there are parts of the Bible that are factual but the information given doesn't "prove the bible is true." Putting the stone aside the problem with the bible is that the factual parts they're not the supernatural parts, they're geographic, they mention people's, tribes & nations that actually existed by there is simply nothing that proves the existence of any deity & Atheism is the rejection of the belief that any deities/gods exist. What kind of deity is behind Psalms 137.9 do you really believe any loving God would say such a thing?
Our beautiful God our One and Only. God bless all in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior our Messiah Amen, our Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world. God bless all in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit Amen
At most it proves that there was a house of David. Not a King David. And it in no way proves that other biblical myths are true, when we know that many of the biblical stories are pure mythology.
Also, even back in the day, was there ever only one "House-of-David" contesting for notoriety in the land of Canaan? During that era, the only trans-regionally common calendars dominating the Fertile Crescent came mostly from either Egypt or Assyria. Modern-day identity politics all over again.
Proves the Bible is true ? No it doesn't. The Bible has some historical info, and some concocted 'historical facts'. One would expect 2000+ year old writings to have a few facts for that immediate era, plus some historical quotes - That what writers do - for goodness sake. There is no proof there for Gods.
So it confirms that the Israelites were a monarchal dictatorship that the people they subjugated felt warranted rebellion against? Understandable, they did like to enslave non-Jews. It's fine when they do it but if Egyptians do it to them it's totally wrong? Thanks for the heads up, I thought they might not have been evil.
Nice to have non Hebrew artifact. But nay sayers still will not accept facts. I've seen it at the British Museum, the Cyrus Cylinder, and as well as the Nabonidus Chronicle. But we continue to walk by faith, not by sight in all things. This is icing on the cake!
This only proves certain historical accounts and certain cultural attitudes of the time. It proves nothing that is foundational to Christianity -- that Jesus was divine and rose from the dead. Technically speaking every other account outside of those two points could be incorrect and Christianity could still be true. So please prove those points and you'll have another believer, otherwise a history lesson (though informative) does nothing to speak to the truth of the bedrock on which this religion stands.
The part Jews and Christians deny: that Yahweh was just a tribal god of the Israelites and every tribe/nation had their own gods. It's a victory stele showing Chemosh defeated Yahweh. And a "false" god defeating a "real" god? 😂
How can one book proof another book is true. Everything is written by man. No telling what's in words thru spelling. Might be right might not. Won't no until death do we part.
2:17 if the Bible is the truth, Jesus didn’t come for anybody but the Jew according to Matthew, and Matthew was mistranslated about Jesus was born of a virgin by Isaiah. There’s so many errors and the church corrupted the scriptures.😊
@ what am I saying? You think Jesus die for your sins? Then in Matthew why did he call a Caninite woman a dog, and said he came only for lost sheep of Israel, and he told his disciples not to go the gentiles or Samaritans. What does a stone say about anything when it could be wrong. Why do not Jews believe in Jesus or the Moslem? And in revelations John measured the temple and where is the gentiles, not in the temple but in the courtyard. In the four gospels where is the gentiles? Jesus followers are Jews, his disciples keep pagans away, a soldier ask Jesus to heal but is he a Jew or because he’s a soldier? In the Tanakh in Isaiah there’s a young woman that going to have a baby. I believe these people that follow Jesus were Jews and peter, James, thought the same. The church took Paul and make him the connection, but Paul has no authority, in Acts he was said to seem Jesus on the road to Damascus, but why didn’t Paul write about that experience? He wrote in corinthians about being whipped, stoned, shipwreck, in prison, and said god showed him his son? But why not seeing Jesus on the road to Damascus. Acts was makeup, and by the church like other things in the Bible. The Greek Codex Siniaticus can prove that.
@ are you so sure? History doesn’t show this. TheRCC the church turned against the Jew as soon as Constantine took over, the church persecuted the Jew. Antisemitism hasn’t stop to this day! The Catholic Church has killed more jews than anybody, and look how many Hitler killed a Catholic. Look at Martin Luther, the crusades, inquisition, other wars, even run them out of countries. And you think Jesus came for the gentiles, why did he tell his disciples not to go to the gentiles. Even in revelations the gentiles are invited into the temple. And you talk about Paul as the bridge to gentiles, he was a nut case that the church used to make gentiles were included. Using the words in Acts to say Paul seem Jesus in a light on the road to Damascus. Then why did Paul not write about this in his writings. He wrote in corinthians. about being whipped, shipwrecked, prison, but not the road to Damascus.

Not true we have 1,000’s of pieces from the first century and continues in all the centuries then we have 1,000’s of other writings letters etc from “church fathers” etc which also includes scripture quotes
The New Covenant is fully validated and backed up by the archaeological evidence
Unlike the koran which is totally false, the place, time, book, and man all are proved manmade and centuries later
More importantly it is a different message from a different god
Read Galatians 50 AD.
Many such findings and pieces of evidence and many many things in the Bible itself prove it's true. When you put them all together it's insurmountable evidence.
It's not insurmountable evidence of the existence of a deity.
Jesus Christ is the ark of are generation ... Following him in are hearts..... Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness...
How anyone could consider the stone as proof of the existence of ywhw is delusional.
That's crazy it's proof of the Bible is real
@@wayneramquist367 Wayne, you haven't responded correctly to my statement. It is my experience that this is common amongst believers.
Have another go bro.
@@hippopotamus6765 You are correct it doesn't confirm the religion of the Bible, but it does prove part of the historical veracity of the Bible.
Put all pieces together and theirs tens of thousands of pieces
Before Cyrus it was not the practice of conquering nations to allow people they had captured to go back home and rebuild their city or temples. So, this prophecy was not realistic at all, yet it came true. Have a nice day😊

I must ask. I appreciate what you are doing. But wonder, do you use the Hard "J" sound in reference to Yah'hu'weh, in order to be less offensive to our Yehudim brothers? We know that that consonant sound did not exist in the languages of that part of the world. Actually anywhere until dated coresoonding to the midevil period in western Europe. While not, by anyone's estimation a scholar, it seems you are speaking about the Israelite creator/god (spelled yod, hey, vav/wou, hey from right to left). You Eben have what I recognize the "name" in Hebrew text on screen.
Duh. Of course he’s speaking about God. Was that not clear? I don’t know “Jah-way” is either, but he’s clearly speaking about YHWH. It’s not that hard to see. Also, the “J” sound absolutely existed before medieval times, like what??
It's not a human speaking but a bot.

Is there a J in that Hebrew? The first letter YOD does not have a J. The YOD is Y, so should it not be YAWEH? But I am glad to see YAH Psalm 68:4 NRV revealed it, to show skeptics his name and historical truth of the scriptures. Israel before Islam.
Nothing in the world today can prove the Bible TRUE. Nothing written in history is 100% true because it’s written by humans . The only proof of the Bible is FAITH! GOD INTENDED IT THAT WAY .
No he is the author of your own bible
I would like where in the bible did Jesus say he is God he did not Jesus is the son of God
The TOOTH FAIRY is the ONE! Prove he isn’t.
We believe with our heart.
😂😂😂 The House of David!

Not the translated, revised and corrupted ones.
Just a picky comment. It is not pronounced Jahweh…it is pronounced Yahweh (Ya-Way).
Proves the Bible is true ? No it doesn't. The Bible has some historical info, and some concocted 'historical facts'.
One would expect 2000+ year old writings to have a few facts for that immediate era,
plus some historical quotes - That what writers do - for goodness sake. There is no proof there for Gods.
I am grateful
Jesus spoke the words of the creator or the creator spoke through Jesus and Jesus said this him self that he was speaking the words of the creator
Bible itself says all are evil, but anyway I think all civilizations of the time took "others" as slaves.

Not the first historical artifact to prove the accuracy of the Bible.
Never heard of this one before.
Thank you.
If using AI, at least teach it the correct pronunciation of important names and words before uploading!
So please prove those points and you'll have another believer, otherwise a history lesson (though informative) does nothing to speak to the truth of the bedrock on which this religion stands.
proves what about the bible is true ?
What is your argument here? What are you attempting to say?
The Jews deny Jesus’s existence in fact and were no longer gods people after what happened, As stated in Romans.
It's amazing the lengths that they will go to to white the characters out turning them from black to white😮 it amazes me every time😢tell the real truth

• The Moabite Stone is an inscription proclaiming the victory of King Mesha of Moab over the ancient Israelite kingdom in the 9th century BCE (900-800 BCE).
• Yeah . . . there were people called the Moabites, Israelites, and a god that the Israelites worshipped (Yahweh).
• God's were created by man.
• Man worshipped the god's they created.
• Tribes (nations) were associated with, or known by, the god's they worshipped (created).

I understand, there are those who don't need physical eyewitness evidence for proof. But there are some who do. The ancient Israelites saw how God liberated them and yet most of them still rebelled. And God was patient.
You don’t need to make fun of religion, it does it all by itself. Talk about clutching at straws. This proves nothing.
