The goodness of the ingredients is indeed the most important part of the dish, here where I live, in Italy, we are lucky enough to have very genuine freshly grown / bred ingredients at hand, which is why even the simplest dishes are very tasty and flavourful.
Yes, you are right! it's amazing how you guys just get fresh herbs in your garden and make even the simplest dish mind blowing! There are so many spices that I would love to try! one day, Italy! thanks for watching and hoping you found some humor perhaps.
@@Kurisutah I hope to try and make Pho in the near future😊. When I was little, we used to buy half a pig, or a whole one. The hip part and the leg, we salted to preserve. The leg was used to make soup when the rest was eaten. It was boiled together with fresh pork, root vegetables, yellow peas and whole grains of barley. The soup was eaten first, then the meat was served together with boiled potatoes and turnip puree. You didn't get hungry for the first couple of hours after that dinner🤭🤤.
@@olebjrnarkind6059 thank you for sharing that Mr.Kind, me as a Kid would be so excited to go to the market/butcher and grab a whole or half pig. It would mean a feast! And the soup will be with rice, and then eat the meat with potatoes again 😅 some herbs and seasoning you mentioned are alien to me, yet in the future I want to try a lot of herbs and spices
