Talking Traction Dover (Moded by ThyssenKrupp) elevator @ the DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose Airport

San Jose, California. The elevator ran great. Some say Dover didn't make great traction elevators, but this one is an exception! The other cool part is 2 of the elevators still had the Dover job sticker on the blue panel in the shaft. VERY COOL! I don't know what fixtures this elevator had originally, but I would guess Dover Classic, since this elevator was installed in 1982, just before Impulse was introduced. Sadly, ThyssenKrupp got their hands on them in recently, and put in TK Traditional with the buttons that illuminate green when pressed and a GREEN ACME indicator! SUPER COOL! The cab is nice too!

There are some talking elevators at the Los Gatos Library pretty close to this hotel. There are only 2 floors in the building but the elevator says "going up" and "going down."

These elevators were original in early 2010. I have a video from when these elevators were original. They had Dover Classic fixtures. I also have a video of a hydraulic elevator separate from the main elevators in the same hotel that only served floors 1 and 3, also a Dover with Classic fixtures. Is it still original?

The ones I was referring to one of them is an older one that I found at 1st and Santa Clara with the onther one being either a modded one with destination disbatch. If I visit either of these I will have to do a sound recording ora video of them. However I think since I wouldn't be able to see where I am pointing the camera. Maybe the sound recording might better.
