Blasphemous 2 will be again a masterpiece like the first one! I'm very very excited for Blasphemous 2 i love that kind of genre and the soundtrack is unbelievable perfect!
I just want one like Blasphemous and SOTN. Dark, cool, weapons, awesome bosses and music, variety, customization, 2D type animation. Hollow Knight is perfect. Deaths gambit afterlife is good but has a but to be desired, especially weapons and repetitive enemies and the diagonal exploration is still odd to me. Also the hollow knight esque health in blasphemous was a great touch and the dlc bosses were phenomenal.

the 1st game reminds me a 8 bit era game, very similar concept that player going downstairs, can’t remember the title anymore, but amazed to see how far game industry goes until today and the ideas are still the same.
I don't like the gameplay shown in Elypse (it's too fast for my taste), but those backgrounds are just perfect! It's amazing how varied this sub-genre of platformers can be, we have fast action combat, deliberate combat, melee combat, ranged combat, precision platforming and everything tou can think about!
The oly good games now a days are the games without difficulty selections just like when I was young in the early 90s hollow k ight blasphemous the messenger etc
They overhauled the main character's appearance in Astral Blade. Personally, I think the original looked better. Oblivion Override looks cool but.... roguelike is a yellow flag. Moonlight Pulse was the best demo of the last SteamFest. Can't wait for full version.
Trinity Fusion is fire. More rougelike than metrovania but elements if both. Think Dead Cells in it’s approach to levels and routes within levels and combat. Main mechanic is finding, unlocking two other playable characters. Then, while on runs, when you find one or both of these other playable characters, you fuse with them, taking on thier special movesets and abilities on top of the ones you start with. This allows you to reach certain ledges and platforms for special powerups snd upgrades but not huge metrovania aspects. Still, combat is fast, fluid, fun, frenetic, frantic and frankly all around badass.
One tip : Put the game title in the top right corner instead. So many youtubers do what you have done and put it in the bottem left corner which causes readabiliy problems when I hover over each chapter of the video.
Is the dead cells castlevania dlc still a roguelike or roguelite (whichever one it’s classified as, I don’t know the difference.)? Or does it actually play like a castlevania game? Cuz I played dead cells for awhile but those kinds of games aren’t as fun to me as playing games like SOTN for example, or hollow knight. One that I really liked was shadow complex! Anyone ever play that one?

Growing in 80s and 90s I could not be happier that all these Metroidvania tittles are coming out this year, with the current state of the gaming industry, I refuse to buy AAA games at launch.

Really hate when I see a game that shows damage numbers but *doesn't* show the actual healthbar of the enemies.
I don't like the gameplay shown in Elypse (it's too fast for my taste), but those backgrounds are just perfect! It's amazing how varied this sub-genre of platformers can be, we have fast action combat, deliberate combat, melee combat, ranged combat, precision platforming and everything tou can think about!
