The BBC's own policing to investigate its employees for acts of criminality, is rather a department to cover up their employees criminal activities and protect the establishment. If they find out one of their presenters has been arrested for saying causing death whilst drunk driving, they start looking for ways to minimise it, mental health issues, stress, uncle abroad who they've not seen in 20 years but worshipped suddenly died. Anything to try to excuse, justify it, possibly even hoping the person killed had some criminal record themselves for drug possession, so when the story breaks its a junkie gets killed crossing the road, so the public assume he was high on drugs and walked infront of the vehicle.. Then the drunk issue, likely took to much medication for his depression or drink was spiked and the crime was reported to the police who are investigating this, but you'll never here the outcome of this. So the bbc have done all that's possible to minimise the crime.
Is it really unusual for a company to hold investigations of criminality into their own staff? I think of all the businesses I am aware of the BBC needs that more than most or all of them!

I disagree somewhat with the guest. As a 30 year police detective, the organization should have immediately turned over this investigation to the police. After the police conduct their investigation, the organization then is free to conduct an internal affairs investigation. There must be a group of individuals for the company who investigate complaints. The guest is correct that the organization is not the morality police, BUT if a leader in your organization is not upholding the spirit of the organization, then that person must be dealt with however the organization sees fit. If the public does not agree with how the organization handled the complaint, the public and media are free to criticize and bring to light the way the organization is ran from the top down. This is how rules and laws are established. We learn from mistakes, "hopefully."
Isn't that pretty-much what the guest said? He said the BBC should not have its own *criminal* investigations squad, as that must be the job of the police. I don't think he meant that the org has no right to have a team handle internal affairs, just that the word "criminal" has no business being in their job-titles.

@@kevinb9830 I agree they were far worse, but the police didn't investigate there did they. So why would they investgate this?
@@cherrysooks8461 You're cheapening what happened in Rotherham by comparing it to legal activities between 2 consenting adults. Get a grip ffs.
@@petermcnulty-y7c They have investigated and said there's no case to answer. No laws have been broken. The end.
First our thoughts should go to the victim not HIM 🙈
Bull……. Our thoughts should be with the young vulnerable persons who are bought by these perverts! It is not a gross invasion of any privacy! There is a sense of criminality or lack of morals which this Huw something masters . You want your privacy just be a decent person!
Were he a poor or less to do person he would not be hospitalized or would not hide behind schemes to flee criticism due to his AMORAL way of living and arrogant attitude! Yes he is to blame for his less than commendable actions !
"Hospitalised"? Chances are he's cosied up in some expensive, private clinic living the life of Riley.
David, you are a gentleman.
Well there’s an ex Tory talking the truth😂😂😂😂😂
Nasty Tory so rude
The BBC acts as a woke morality police for the whole nation
Another wrong un 🤬
If you’re my age or above you’ll know that’s not even guesswork. Convicted wrongun.
Is it really unusual for a company to hold investigations of criminality into their own staff? I think of all the businesses I am aware of the BBC needs that more than most or all of them!
investigating criminality is the job of the police. A company can (and should) investigate misconduct.
No criminality! Takes him a wife and 5 children to discover he is gay! IMO these well paid, powerful people just don’t know what to be at next let them come down to earth with the rest of us and they won’t have the time or energy to behave in this manner.
I wonder if the care home know this prat is out!
Our thoughts are for him and his victims !!!!
Surely his victims !! His wife is inform is she not? She needs to speak to a good therapist surely?
Wow oh wow.....
Meghan I hope u are watching this.
Very well spoken Harvey Proctor. You were put through this hell after false accusations. I too am disgusted by the uproar of vilification of Huw Edwards on mainstream media channels on UA-cam. Everyone sees the faults of others, no one their own. No one seems to have heard, or understood, the words “let him first cast a stone”.
“But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So, when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” - John.8.7.
you were doing so well until you have to invoke religion.
@@kevinb9830 I am not invoking religion. I am not a Christian and I do not go to church. Nor am I a member of any other religion. But I am receptive to any words I read that I think have universal truth and application. I think these words do. I would have quoted them if I had found them in Karl Marx.

I rather agree with the guest on this. It's just news stations wanting salacious gossip.

If Edwards behaved criminally, the we have every right to be up in arms. If he behaved immorally or irresponsibly then we should shut the fuck up and leave him to sort out his own demons. Harvey is right: people just want to jump on the bandwagon. In a week's time no-one will care about Edwards and his creepy shenanigans.
Jeez,Mary is getting her knickers in a twist.....
The photo isnt even that bad je just looks like hes lost his toilet roll 😂😂😂😂 id put a kiss but i dont want to get called a pervert 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Harvey Proctologist suggests an internal probing interventioning examination to get to the bottom of it all.
Great choice of guest for a balanced view..NOT!
Harvey left Politics getting his Bum rushed for more Heinous crimes then Huw didya do Edwards and went on to be a shirtlifter, errrrr! Shirtmaker! Until he was collared
