A lot of the Packers problems in the first half of the season wasn’t just Jordan Love but all of the young receivers and Tight Ends were running the wrong routes. Several times they even ran into each other and others they were so close together one defensive back could cover two receivers
Idk dudes blaming Matt LaFleur when it was clearly Love missing guys and having happy feet. Breaking the pocket way before he should. Kurt Warner broke it down several times those first 9 weeks him missing guys wide open.
@@brodymeskers i specifically remember during that stretch watching Kurt Warner show week after week Love missing guys wide open for the wrong option whichever it was… Im not smart enough to figure it out so I let a former Super Bowl winning MVP let me know. Basically you’re saying you’re smarter than Warner 💁🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😆
@@brodymeskers also I watched every snap of every game as well and if you think he was lighting it up not stinking up the joint and it was just LaFleur on some bullshit then that’s hilarious. I mean at the midway point the GM was talking about how he didn’t know if Love was the guy long term or not. There’s a clue right there.
Raiders had one of the worst o lines and pass games last season. Teams just focused Jacobs and the run all game long… I think he’s still got a lot left in the tank. Gonna be a lot easier for him to run when defenses have to deal with this receiver room and Love. My opinion at least🤷🏻♂️
As an unbiased NFL fan, I really think Pack have built another superbowl contending roster. I am from Wisconsin and a diehard Packers fan tho, so again, no bias…
I agree with most of what you said, but I also agree with Coach LaFleur, the talk about a WR1 makes me sick. Having 4 WR1s is much better than having one. If a D has a shutdown corner, and they give him just a little help, they can stop any WR1 in the NFL. If you have 4 WR1s, who is the defense going to pay attention to. Even if your shutdown corner takes out one, the other three are going to beat one of your other corners or safeties. The Packers D is the question, but what Hafley brings is an aggressiveness and a takeaway mentality. Even if the D is the same statistically as last year, if they generate 6-8 more takeaways during the season, that can mean 3 more wins. Continue that in the playoffs, and their odds just went way up. You guys are right, the Packers have a Super Bowl upside.
Also think Hafley will take this defense to its true potential specially with the revamp of the safety spot and secondary McKinney is a stud Javon Bullard and Williams paired with him will be best safety duo in league wide receivers will be great as well
I agree with Matt being a better playcaller weeks 10 and on is true but that also cuz Matt LaFleur felt more comfortable and trusted Love from Week 10 on, weeks 1-9 it was Matt trying to dumb things up for JLove and to build that trust in the first year start and then he started trusting JLove and that was apparent from week 10 on, after last season Matt trusts JLove so much more the offense is only going to get better, cuz Matt has an amazing offensive scheme that hasnt been fully utilized yet.
Great video! Loved the commentary. I agree with everything you guys said, except the take on the raiders o line. Go watch some all 22 tape of Jacob’s runs, majority of the time the second he got the ball there were defenders in his face. Defenses new they had a crappy qb so they loaded the box forced them to throw and shut down Jacobs. No way is their oline decent.
You also forgot about how the Packers defense had, in traditional fashion” either not held or didn’t show up. People forget, at one point Jordan Love was putting up 27+ points on his opponents and yet it felt like he had to be putting up 32 on average so that that defense had room for error. AND EVEN THEN some times that wasn’t enough. Prime example was the Dallas v packers wild card game.
I disagree with your statement that the Wild Card game was a "Prime Example" of the Packers defense not showing up and forcing Love to put up an average of 32 points to get the win. The Cowboys couldn't get anything going until late in the 4th quarter when the Packers rested their Starters and put in the 2nd and 3rd string back ups. As a result , Green Bay finished the game with 97% DVOA. That’s the sixth-highest single game of the 2023 season behind four Baltimore games and the Week 4 Buffalo win over Miami. The Packers also put up 190% team pass offense DVOA in that game. That’s the best passing performance in Packers history, which is remarkable considering the quarterbacks that have played for the Packers. In fact, the previous record for highest team passing DVOA came with Lynn Dickey at quarterback, not Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre. As for the Starters on defense, Savage had the game-breaking pick-six and was charged with only two completions into his coverage, and he didn’t have a missed tackle on five attempts. Alexander had an interception setting up a touchdown, allowed only two catches and made six tackles without a miss. Nixon had a team-high three stops, including a third-down sack, and broke up a pass and forced two incompletions. Johnson didn’t give up a catch into his coverage over 21 coverage snaps. Campbell dropped an interception in the end zone but was solid against the run.
Jacobs will be an upgrade to Jones. Similar speed, and both have very good vision. Jones is a tad bit more elusive, but Jacobs is much more powerful and will break tackles or get positive yardage on situation that Jones normally would get stood up. The best thing for Jacobs this season is not only an upgrade at OL, it’s MLF’s run scheme and how well Jacobs fits in it.
It’s also the play action, they were so good with the play action last year, it constantly freed up Aaron jones for big runs, as long as you can get past the first level
Another thing people don’t realize I agree with alot of what you said but also week 1 packers scored 38 points lost Aaron jones and bahktiari and after that it took awhile for them to get it figured out love took his first year lumps and then we got Aaron jones back and lefluer took the training wheels off and our offense took off I do think Jacob’s will resurge this year as well I believe packers will be in the NFC championship possibly Super Bowl
I agree with what the first guy had to say. Aaron jones is more explosive than jacobs. He’s a better pass catcher out of the backfield. The only thing with Jones is that he’s plays tougher than what his body can handle ( not a big guy). Kicker also an issue, he looks nervous out there. Jones is a type of guy you don’t let walk! It will come back to bite them in the ass.
Josh Jacob will be an upgrade over Aaron Jones…Aaron Jones is great but staying on the field for 17 to 20 games has been in question for the last 2 years..Plus Raiders line has been on bottom for the last year when Josh Jacob played there..
Josh Jacobs will end up being the better RB for the Packers in the longrun. As of this moment though I'd say Jones is maybe the best RB the Packers have ever had. We've had some decent ones before like Dorsey Levens, Edgar Bennett, Ahman Green. Ryan Grant & Eddie Lacy weren't bad either.
0:49 except he didn’t. It actually was that Jordan love just started making please and stop missing guys wide-open. I never miss a snap watch a ton of stuff about the Packers, and I watch people much smarter than me talk about them. People like Kurt Warner before Love took off. I remember watching breakdowns of his where he did point out guys that Love was missing that was wide open. Now you go by stats 14 touchdowns 10 interceptions the first nine games. We know how he finished that wasn’t LaFleur Just stopping being on some kind of bullshit. It was love figuring it out with the other guys.. it literally happened sometime after the half time of the Steeler game. Something clicked..
I remember clowns on this panel trashing Jordan Love and the Pack last year. Man y'all showed how completely and utterly out of touch y'all are on ball.
I don't know this guys name but he literally broke down exactly what we've been saying all these years. Between Hafley and Antsley, this defense is gonna cook and don't even ask me to pronounce the Dline coaches name lol. He's a crazy ass mfer. Campaneli is working with the Lbs and it's just clicking
causal basic take in 3…2…1… 2:20 come on bro no way! Love was 14 touchdowns 10 ints and barely above 50% completion percentage. That wasn’t the coach’s doing at all! You’re crazy! Take it from a packers fan. Go watch the tape. You were right Jacobs is better than Jones though
A lot of the Packers problems in the first half of the season wasn’t just Jordan Love but all of the young receivers and Tight Ends were running the wrong routes. Several times they even ran into each other and others they were so close together one defensive back could cover two receivers
