I hav been investing in real estate for quite a while now and i understand so well the challenges that Cytonn is going thro with liquidity issues. sometime i put money expecting to reap in 1 yr but i end up recovering in 3/5 yrs. this is the reality on the ground which most people do not understand. I wish you well as you try to navigate these turbulent times.

The business concept on financing the real estate project is right. This is the way to fund those high capital intensive projects. However, the entities need to be clear to the investing public that this is for the long haul and the funds will be tied up for a couple of years,would say minimum 5 years. If Cytonn was very clear we would not have all the noise, the underlying assets and investments are visible. The investors need to be patient and support the stabilization and completion of the projects. The payoff will be there...

Wanted you to explain what we are reading on the papers. It's probable you are taking money and not explaining to the unsophisticated investors that some investment are tied for long periods. There is a problem in kenya as some people do not understand that some investments are not that redeemable in the near future.
To be honest I admire what you did but the news we are reading is not good. I hope you are not paying yourselves top dollar without making sure there are returns to take care of these payouts.
