Hey Jake. Not only are you a good looking dude, but you have a great sense of humor and the hair systems and styles you show are made to look very natural. Thank you for good advice and videos !
You might try as you make the curves, pinch the tape on itself, and then cut the little flap left on it to sit the tape flush on the base. I hope that makes sense. Thumbs up!
Sometimes when I reapply tape to my lace hairline I need to gently take it off to reposition it perfectly. Is this pretty destructive to the knots or if no hairs come out does that mean I'm in the clear?
@@JakeKent i do prefer thé tape on scalp method because its easier to take off and reapply when youre putting it back on after cleaning it.. sometimes I dont always apply the piece just right and it gives me more flexibility in getting thé system on correctly. It also is how I cut my pièces in. I apply the new piece to my head and thén cut the edges to shape it. I use plain lace tape not thé one with thé holes in it and the piece stays on for 2 to 4 weeks. I find it also does less damage to my own hair and to thé piece. And use rubbing alcohol on the piece so that you can détach thé piece and leave most of thé adhésive on thé scalp. This way you dont néed to use much,if any solvent or dish washing fluid on thé piece. That sh*t fries thé hair
Nice man! I’ve been afraid to use tape simply because I wasn’t sure it would hold up. You workout, is the tape pretty much the same as the bond, just in tape form? Would it work for an exposed hairline?
In my opinion, yes it works for exposed. I probably wouldnt slick back my hair, but i'm always wearing tape and you've seen me, even on facetime. Tape is WAY more solid than glue.. it doesnt leak and drip at all, unlike my experience with glues

Sally's, Hobby Lobby, and I believe Michael's have the Styrofoam heads. Make sure they have extra terrestrial eyes,... very important, lol! Great tutorial!
Most clients hair units are dried and styled except for finishing products before the client arrives to a salon.......the unit....i hate that word.........is inside out...........on a canvas block.....worth the investment.........ugly as sin and worthy to hide at home...........the block and the clamp attach to the counter..easy peasy..................the liner tape and or adhesives are applied to the unit......and taken into the client........the trick is not to push mash the hairstyle in the upside down position.........screwing up or flattening the style...........the stylist applies the unit ........and usually all that is needed are finishing products and a fluff n puff............oh yeah except of course for the client doing their own thing.......cuz that is just the way we roll!!!

I appreciate that!
Would be nice to see you attach your system.
i agree

Always looks good on you Jake. Thanks.
I appreciate that!
That's how it's done,.... easy peasy!
boom!!
Do you put down redliner tape on first ? I will make the cleanup easier.
So you use red liner tape and then a second tape?
@@JakeKent Yes, redliner first then your tape. Makes cleanup much easier.
Next time when someone ask me how to apply tapes. I can send your video to him. Great content Jake. 👏
awesome! thanks for your support!
How long it can stay on your head ? Please need your honest answer, I live in hot place like you. And going to the gym
Hi so wish my hair systems I've always used glue and the clean up is very messy on the hair system and my scalp, does tape eliminate this completely
Hi Jake
You do a lot of cross fit hence isn’t it ideal to use glue than tape?
Is it fine to use only tape for hair system, and do you have a brand you recommend? thanks
Hi Jake where did u get your systems from> the hybrid styles?

You can also put thé tape directly on your scalp and thén attach thé unit.
you can. do you prefer this method?

whats the difference between a hybrid system and just a poly which is what i have
Hybrid = poly + lace , poly = just poly base :)

What's the name of the unit you are showing?

kevin selam Kevin if you were asking me what my unit is, it’s not available online from a supplier
Jake Kent - Bahaha... thought this was a comment on my video. My bad man 😂
Is there any precut tape . I use to use some for womenswear
there is. they come in different shapes and contours.
try a voice over in those tricky situations. nice job though
Jake do you use scalp protector?
Yes!
Jake, why aren't you using max hold sport anymore ?
He uses it as a scalp prep.
@@hairdude6616 so tape and bond, both have to be used together?
they don't HAVE to be used together, but can be. scalp protectors are, in a way, complimentary, to your adhesive
@@JakeKent that's confusing😅, isn't max hold sport a bond or rather it is scalp protector ? Are these things different
Well, I will Google about it😂
Thankss
So no adhesive at all??
What?
Spray some alcohol on the scissors it stops them sticking to the tape
Duh, I spray it on my hands, idk why I didn’t think of doing that on the scissors lol
What tape you using?
Right now, Ultra Hold

hahahaha!! they must have eyes!
I’ve gone to full tape now much better and quicker and cleaner
yeah man, so much better!
Hi man im new to the channel, where do you get your systems from?
When I put tape on my unit, it really hurts my balls when I rip it off
😂😂😂
Longer that you have been alive ............lol..........50 must seem ancient to you................too funny!
Nah man, youre just getting started in this thing called life!! 🤗

thanks for the knowledge robb!
Watching you cut the tape in that manner is giving me anxiety 😦 I suggest that NO ONE emulates this.
What is the best way to do it in your opinion? Asking as a novice
Why do you recommend that? Fear of cutting the unit?
@@lorcanjackson-mclaughlin8165 I'd recommend doing it like this... ua-cam.com/video/GM9jSzzfZ5E/v-deo.html
