Daddy has a great personality. He seems to be a bit shy but very amicable and is a great cook. I’m learning a lot from him.
This my favorite dish from the Jamaican culture. I’m American/Haitian and now Jamaican I think that’s why God bless me with a Jamaican husband. Deddy reminds me of him he loves the kitchen just like you One Love
My father was jamaican and we grew up in the country in michgan eating off our land. My mama was a Mississippian black woman that grew up on her family farm as well. They both could cook and they would mix their cultures together in everything we did. But mostly in cooking. I never knew that until I went to culinary school and started watching jamaican cooking shows that we were raised with our Jamaican culture as well. Lol I just thought we ate so many vegetables and different then my friends and other family members. I just love your show you go girl.
Deddy who teach you to cook ?

.
Your dumplings should go in the beginning when your peas and meat cook😊
My dad is from St. Elizabeth Jamaica; we live in Miami,FL. And when he make his dumplings in his soups he makes them like a straight line not round..I told him that's not a dumpling; he says with his accent "Corrynthia just shut ya mouf".😂😂.My father & mom adopted my siblings and I when I was 9yrs old, I'm 37 now, my mom has pass it's only and my siblings now; he's 75 AND HAS MORE ENERGY THAN ME!
Those are spinners. Lol, another jamaican dumpling.
As soon as I got the notification, I immediately said Lawd ah merci out loud and everyone turned and looked at me. Sasha, you have done a good job as well. You've grown with the channel. Deddy is too young to my father, but old enough to be my big brother. Great work sir.
🤣
Yes I agree Sasha is calmer and sounding a bit more mature in her presentation. They both are doing so well. Congrats to them. 👏🏾
Yes good job sasha.👍🤗

Cream de la cream thank you 🇯🇲💯🇺🇸
Hello there Deddy’s Kitchen, you’re doing a cookout on my late mom’s birthday, and one of my favorite Jamaican dishes,Thank you & blessings ❤️
I would not miss any meals if Deddy was cooking! Omg it looks so good. Bless the whole family!
Soup tip! When emptying out contents of a can or jar into a soup, I'll put a bit of the soup mixture of the can/jar to mix with the remainder on the edges of the can and then dump back into the pot, getting every morsel of goodness.
🤣💯
I like the fact that Deddy goes step by step with his cooking. Much love
There's lots a LUV in Deddys cooking. Bless up Deddy.
Seems like such a great guy his smile makes me smile. I wish I had Deddy ,as you say, like him. Bless Up and the best in all your endeavors.

@@viviandemar2631 I'm in New York and i really enjoy my Jamaican food...😊
Big up u self and family real thing old school fade Rutty from the UK 💯👋
All I could think about was my grandma😍watching this video(😥she passed earlier this year). She was the queen of cooking with "unusual" meats (for Americans). We would often have to ask her what kind of meat was in the pot bc grandma would have oxtail, cows tongue, pig feet, deer, bear, rabbit, possum, etc. in the it🙄, knowing we weren't abt to eat that kind of meat. But it always smelled good, looked great&tasted wonderful (the few times we were tricked into eating it). Her speciality and favorite was fish🐟(she absolutely loved it)&her "everythingbutthekitchensink" soups(we loved that). Grandma was an awesome Southern cook who knew how to take care of her family&keep them well fed! 🍽🍖🍗🥩 I am loving your videos&I absolutely adore "deddy"&mommy 🤗💓Cant wait for the next one!
Awesome 👏
Thank you for sharing Deddy with us and his skills! Much love!
I love how Deddy is always inviting us to his home😂😂.
Next time cut your yam smaller and I think u over seasoning the soup we donn know you can cook daddy lol
You ting up up daddy give me mine lol
You would not like it if we all come on over deddy
@@Melody-ne7iqI agree. All of the food could have been cut up smaller. Too big! Also, you don’t need to wash meat ‘three’ times Deddy. Once or twice is enough depending on the meat or fish.
Deddy seems to be so humble I love that.. be blessed always 🙏🏼
Hes such a sweet soul💘
Deddy is simply adorable! I made the oxtails last night and ate them today 😋 Red peas soup next!

I love watching this channel. It takes me back to my childhood to my great grandmother's cooking. I believe she may have had some Caribbean roots. I remember her making dishes like this soup.
Thank You for sharing your family recipe for red pea soup. I appreciate that you included all the ingredients and options to add or not. The playful exchange between Father and Daughter is delightful. The fact that you mentioned to clean the meats and vegetables before cooking is something average person doesn’t know . Looking forward to more authentic Deddy’s recipes. Stay Blessed.
Lovely video. My 1st visit!! I am uk born and raised, but my jamaican parents always stuck to tradiotional cooking, so this red peas soup just made me feel so homely. And hungry!!! Peas soup for me tomorrow 👌🏽. Love your style Deddy. Cooked with real jamaican passion 🇯🇲

How could anybody dislike anything out of Deddy's Kitchen?!? Deddy is my inspiration to get in that kitchen and cook, I love his warm smile and those eyes!!! I love to hear his heartfelt testimony and his obvious love for our Heavenly Father! May Yah continue to bless and keep you all!!! One quick question: Could you do a recipe using chicken feet? My mother used to make a type of stew with them, but I was a child and didn't pay a lot of attention...
I love the Deddy daughter combo! I was never taught how to cook but now with Deddy I'm much more confident. Also Deddy is so adorable!!! You should make him into a cartoon so I can buy an cooking apron with him on it! Keep up the beautiful work of art!!!!

That is a true statement with Deddy’s take on vegetables with different names in other regions. The cho cho in Jamaica is called the Mirliton or alligator pear from my hometown of New Orleans ❤️♥️❤️❤️♥️
Its
Its
@Leonie Taylor it is calle
Christophene in Barba
@@bonitaweekes4366 Really ? If you want to be correct on my English & spelling you’re wrong too. The answer you gave its is incorrect as well. The correct spelling is it’s. I’m here to learn Jamaican Cuisine, not how to write English words properly. PS you’ve misspelled another word too. The correct way of spelling calle is called, Have a good day.
Just love the ways Deddy always add God in his tutorials show. Thank you for your receipes. Love all your receipes
