I remember this night it was a Friday night we had just got home from dropping my girlfriend off and there was no homework freshman year high school .We had gotten home ordered Chinese food pizza and something else me my cousin and my niece were downstairs in the basement watching the game and eating I had bet my cousin that Melo would go off tonight and boy he did my dad being a Knick fan was suppose to be sleep but since he was a Knicks fan since 1969 he just had to watch and boy was we enjoying that game.my neighbor stopped by to pick up something he had left over and my dad told him to come down and watch the game he said he’d only stay for a little but since Melo went insane he stayed the whole game. even my mother who doesn’t like the Knicks because of how the front office is ran and doesn’t watch Knicks games was thrilled by how Melo was playing yep it was a good game .my niece was a huge Melo fan she thought he was cute so it was a great night to see her man go off😂😂😂 anyway the night ended and i recorded the game on my cable box and played an encore of the game but this time it was me just watching because everyone had fallen asleep but it was one hell of a night. I miss the old Melo and the Knicks I just wish they had of built around him

Good call by Donnie Walsh to quit after this. He tried to tell dolan, let’s wait until the off-season and try to acquire him then because he was gonna be an unrestricted FA anyway and get him for a whole lot less and if it doesn’t work out, just focus on developing the young athletic core like Galanari and Wilson Chandler, Felton, Mozgov, Fields and Tony Douglas etc…future was promising here.
But nope…dolan has to have Melo and he wanted him now and ended up getting gipped by Ujiri real bad. Which is why his huge salary took a huge chunk out of all that cap space it took Walsh 2 years to get and also on why Melo never had a promising supporting cast around him.
