If you pause it frame by frame, it looks like Stewart is already knocked out before he hits the ground, looks like the bike hit him on its way up & his way down, the direction of his body also changes at that exact moment, i had bar to bar 2004 the dvd & it showed this crash, I must of replayed it 1,000 times as my 9year old self, never noticed he was out before the ground Also, thank you so much for posting these videos. Born in 95 so my favorite era, all the late 90’s to mid 2000’s is the best for me, thank you
It didn't look like James was knocked out before hitting the ground to me. I think he got knocked out when he hit the ground. You're very welcome for the post. I was born in '88 and I was only 15 when James had this bad crash. Hard to believe I was thinking of leaving this sport after McGrath retired unexpectedly, but Chad Reed saved me from doing that.
@@johnnybgood774 Dead serious because RC went virtually unchallenged after Vuillemin skipped Daytona in '02, and Chad Reed even BEAT RC straight up 6 times in a row in '03 (Dallas being the best example).
Yes, it was. I admit though that I like the 4-strokes myself, I liked it better when Chad Reed was winning. This race had to be one of the few hiccups for James Stewart once he got the 125cc class figured out.

This was so much better racing! The tracks, having to work the clutch, staying on the pipe!

Only a dirt bike God can survive that
Define "survive that" because I have a feeling EVERYONE could've survived that if they did what Stew did off his second crash.
