Somehow I knew she was going to crossover to ALBA. Good on you Ash! Your country needs you and the others that will follow.

There is anger, frustration, and a loss of trust in the SNP amongst many of the Yessers I know and it will drive us on to take our country back! I believed in Ash when she stood for leader but the party voted for the status quo, a backward and fruitless action. Now perhaps they will wake up but something tells me they won't. Thank you Ash, and we must see positive action now towards freeing us from the crushing effects of being England's cash cow.

Alex Salmond is the best politician ever to come out of Scotland. He made a very brave decision leaving the SNP to form the ALBA party. Now, the recruitment of Ash Regan MSP demonstrates that the party is going to get bigger and better.

The SNP are simply lost. Since the days of Sturgeon, it was clear that the SNP is too comfortable to challenge Westminster properly and effectively. They have become a Party of careerists, interested only in lining their own pockets. They do nothing real for Scotland, and what they do attempt falls into chaos
The latest sad scenario in Gaza should teach us all something about Colonialism and control by outside forces. Humza Yousaf's idea of taking all Palestinians over to Scotland shows he can't actually think things through. What sounds like a humanitarian gesture is actually playing into the Israeli's hands completely, and Scotland as it is could not cope with a few hundred thousand new citizens, let alone a million or more.
If the SNP had done their job properly with the likes of the NHS, with Housing, etc, we may be in a real position to help out. Issues such as the NHS, such as housing, are not unsurmountable. Simple solutions stare us all in the face. Similarly, with the drug misuse, with poor diet, etc. That is where the money should be going, not paying millions to wealthy business people.
Of course when greed is allowed free rein, we're going to have problems such as the so-called cost of living crisis; with food prices soaring, electric/gas costs astronomical, travel costs tearing at our wallets and purses. It's like the council tax, which is obscene and could be done away with completely.
Scotland desperately needs a Party which represents all, which will listen, and will act. A Party which does more than promise, but delivers more than mere mealy-mouthed words. The SNP has forgotten what democracy means, what Scotland means.

Stockholm syndrome runs deep in the SNP. They are educated by the British, even at Scottish universities, to believe that they must ask master at the big hoose in London toon to end the treaty union with England and the Union of the Crowns and declared a Republic

Now we're talking! Let battle commence. Small criticism of the video: why is the crowd more in focus and sharp than those on the stage? I've criticized the Alba video quality before. Now is the time to get a grip.

watching this from Melbourne Australia , what a winner Alba has now acquired you should have won the FM vote , I remember getting on that aeroplane in 1988 when i left my homeland looking for something better than the cards we were all dealt with that nasty woman thatcher I can remember the village I came from sure it was a little rough around the edges but everyone sort of knew everyone and if you needed a bit of help there was always someone who would lend a hand but when most of the council housing , public utilities etc were sold off to the greedy who got caught up in that mindset (and some of my family members were amongst them) I was happy to leave and try something new I am sure once my wife watches this she will start screeming at me I want to go home even after 35 years you just can't take Scotland out of the girl , YOU ROCK ASH REGAN

I'm watching this from Sydney, Australia. I think the acquisition of Ash might propel Alba forward. My hometown of Glasgow (and then Edinburgh) was decimated in the 1980s by Thatcherism. Thatcher may have improved the economy of the UK but she destroyed manufacturing in Scotland (and the North of England). The only fortunate thing is that Scotland could decide to leave. I was recently back in Glasgow and was pleased to see that it seems to be improving steadily but surely and that Edinburgh seems to becoming even more affluent! Good to see!

I am a SNP member. The SNP are happy to doddle along hoping the kind English will grant us a referendum for independence. They will not. I am also a member of Salvo, Liberation Scotland. At the next Salvo meeting in Stirling I will propose my idea to get all independence votes in one place. My idea is that all the SNP, Labour, Conservative, Alba and Greens votes at the next General Election be lent to Salvo, Liberation Scotland on the voting card. For example, on the voting card it would have SNP/SALVO or you disagree you can simply vote SNP on the voting card with the same arrangement for all other parties, if they agree. If Salvo, Liberation scotland and the political parties take up this idea it would mean Salvo, Liberation scotland getting 80% and more of the total Scottish vote. With an election win for Salvo, Liberation Scotland they can call for an immediate Declaration of Independence. After that Salvo, Liberation Scotland would promise to be desolved as a movement and a new Scottish Election held to see what political party would take power in the first independant Scotland since 1707. I would love to see Ash Regan as our first Prime Minister of Scotland, but it could be Douglas Gordon Ross.

Alex and Ash are two of the best politicians in Scotland…. But gonny stop using the pronunciation …Alapa , believe me , that particular pronunciation is the vernacular of an area of the Western Isles …. You could say slang Gaelic ….. the same Gaelic speakers pronounce ‘Glasgow’ as Glasaco …. :) e.g As we all know…. A Glaswegian…. of the proper rough n tumble type….pronounce ‘Glasgow’ as Glezga …., this stems from a long forgotten use of Scot’s Gaelic …. now taken for granted as the local vernacular of an English language pronunciation of Glasgow….. ( I use this merely as an example) …. I’m trying to point out ….. Alapa seems to have been adopted by our great orator as the way to use the magnificent title Alba … go ask any Irish Gaelic speakers who the many thousands of our lovely cousins pronounce Alba ….. i.e …. The way it should be :)))) which over powers the small pocket of Western Islanders ALAPA :)))))
    SAOR Alba ya Bas :)
