  • I’ve had this Amazfit Pace smart watch for 5 years now, and about 6 months ago, it started to suddenly just turn off or shut down on its own. Charging has also been a problem which has been a hit or miss. Sometimes you get lucky that it charges, but most of the time, nothing happens. Also, when I turn it on, the screen does lights up, but then it turns off on its own after a few seconds or minutes.
So, I did some research, and found a work around hack, and possibly found the reason why this is happening as well, and was able to restore the watch back into life again. I’m going to share and show you everything that I did in this video.

When plugged in, I get some reading in the barometer, does that mean that the barometer is not bad and it might be the battery ?

I wonder, instead of take it off and lose the function, what if you dry the barometer with hair dryer? Does it work?

The barometer is already gone in my watch, so I can't try that now.

You mean the weight? I don't know. I haven't weigh it before and I already sold mine, so I can't weigh it anymore

My watch is overheating to the point where I can't even touch it.

Will replacing the battery resolve the issue?

I removed the "barometer" it actually says MIC2. my watch still drains from 100 to 0 in 4hrs

That's good enough compared to 10 seconds of auto-off, at least for my case. 😉
Maybe you'll need to replace the battery itself, which I haven't done yet

I doubt it. 4 years... The battery will already be totally dead. You'd have to replace it too
