Home WiFi Explained. The most important features to consider when shopping for wireless home networking devices. You won't be confused about WiFi technology after you watch this tutorial. Home IT Handbook: wifi-guy.net/ebook/ Wifi-Guy website: wifi-guy.net/
Thank for a very good explanation. I’ve known the absolute basics but as more and more things get connected this is much needed info. New subscriber here. Happy New Year!
Jerry I'm subbing to you because WiFi is a big mystery in my life. Even the Spectrum tech who I thought was going to replace my very old Linksys router just told me to by my own. It was "very easy to set up and I wouldn't have to pay the $12 more a month on my bill." Kinda scary to set up something I know practically nothing about.
He's right. Almost anything you buy is better than the junk an ISP will give you. Here is a reliable, affordable and easy to set up router. amzn.to/3qwKJtk. You may have to ask your ISP to put the modem in bridge mode if its a modem/router combo.
Thanks, appreciate the reply back. Will be rewatching your videos to figure out what my wifi/Ethernet requirements are and what 6E router will help me out. Thank you

Thank you. Very well explained. This is the first time I got deep explanations on routers and communication in general.
I keep following you, thanks for all the useful info
Happy to hear that!
Wait until Wifi 6E. Will take a few years though before devices support the 6Ghz though. But will be fun testing.
Good stuff!
How do I assign devices a 2.4 or 5 setting?
You will need to have seperate SSIDs and passwords for the 2 bands and sign the devices on to the band you want.
Is now a good time to upgrade? 🤔
Yes. WiFi 6 prices have never been lower. Keep in mind you won't get the full benefit of WiFi 6 unless the device supports it.
