Story behind the song:
We've all had that phone call. That email or that message. That conversation.
Bad news.
We're all struggling with something - a debilitating weakness or illness. Or someone we love is barely holding on.
We watch the news. We see the tweets, the Facebook posts...the UA-cam comments!
We hear about hate, terror, and despair. But just because what sells, what goes "viral," or what gets attention may try to drown out the good in the world, it doesn't mean that goodness is gone. Just because choruses of controversy and scandal shout louder than quiet symphonies of service, it doesn't change the fact that, inside, most of us still genuinely want happiness -- not only for ourselves, but also for our family, our friends, and our fellow human beings.
Media can make the world look bleak. They've given themselves this job description, in part because there's a darker side on the surface of human nature that feeds on fear and cynicism. But deep down, we are beings of light. And in the end, since darkness is merely the absence of light, light will inevitably overcome dark.
This is the essence of hope. And the essence of this song. "No matter what you've been through, no matter if you think you're falling apart, it's gonna be okay."
Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But we believe that someday, somehow, all things will be made right. And as the Psalm says, "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy."
In the meantime, there are so many more things to hope for and to work at while we yearn for the outcome we want so badly - more gratitude for what we have, more love for those we've taken for granted, more faith in ourselves and those we hold dear, and more confidence in a Divine purpose.
We felt like the best way to spread the message of this song was to supplement our standard classically-influenced instrumental niche with a more pop-driven tune featuring Al's superb vocal skills.

Yeah, I heard about that on the news and I'm still wondering whether what they said about him were really true. I love Cliff Richard's voice (I grew up listening to his music and other oldies - that said, I'm only in my 20s). He's one of those artists who still kept their voice 'crisp' after all these years.
Hazel, they had no evidence going in, investigated for a long time and still had nothing at the end. The press went guns blazing to try and drum up "evidence" (real or not) by making sure the investigation was in the public eye the whole time.
He was treated as if he was guilty from the very start and had to fight tooth and nail to prove he is innocent, something that is not supposed to happen in our "justice" system or indeed with our press (who shouldn't push stories without proof).
The fact is, after all this time they have what they had at the start - nothing.
Plus he wasn't the only celeb to have false allegations made in the wake of Jimmy Saville information coming out. But for some odd reason, the press was adamant they were going to crucify Sir Cliff Richard more than anyone else and kept the focus on him despite there being no reason to do it.
Enjoy his music, you deserve decent tunes and he deserves our respect for going through that nightmare and still wanting to give us good music.

All through,Cliff was never even told who was accusing him and when he was cleared ,it turned out to be a convicted sex offender that was the main one accusing him.
Cliff had planned a final tour for his fans to mark his 75th birthday and as far as I know,he still honoured it despite these lies hanging over him.
Next year marks 60 years since Cliff's first single in 1958-'MOVE IT'
but as it happens,that was originally the B-side.The original A-side was'SCHOOLBOY CRUSH' a Bobby Helms cover.DJ's
kept flipping it over and the rest is history.'MOVE IT' is regarded as one of Britain's greatest Rock N Roll records.
I love how he's taking the BBC and police to task over essentially what was a break in while he was away. As if they went in with no proof and without him being there! How bloody dare they! He's a Sir and deserves a damn site more respect than that. Aside from that, this song has him coming out fighting, and with one of my favourite bands too :)
Am I the only one still listening to this in 2018? I love listening to piano guys. It makes my day better and makes me smile, even when its rough. Im hoping to go to Nashville in April and see them.
Sir Cliff Richards will always be the special 1. This man can sing songs and every hit is so catchy. We need these kind of singers back in the single charts.

Sir Cliff Richard was my very first rock concert when I was 14 or 15... SO much fun!!!
I have never heard this before today. "So many times now, I was supposed to tap out"... I'm a recovering alcoholic, and it's all twisted up and wrapped around PTSD, depression, anxiety, agoraphobia, and I did try to tap out when I was deep and lost in my addiction. And...it's tough. It's exhausting fighting all that everyday. Even though I have 26 months clean today, it's still hard. It really is a feeling of being tortured everyday, those feelings clawing at me. But somehow tomorrow keeps coming and turning into today. At least I don't want to tap out anymore. So maybe it is going to be ok. I hope so.
My mom sent me a text early this morning celebrating my 26 months clean, and she sent me this song. And i can't stop crying because it reminds me how thankful I am to be able to feel hopeful again when, for so long, I didn't. And it breaks my heart for anyone in that place of feeling hopeless. I was there for so long. I thought I was going to die an alcoholic...I was resigned to it. I tried to. But I didn't. I'm here today to hear this song and be reminded that things actually ARE ok again. Or moving in that direction anyway.
I love this song, and I love the message. I needed to hear this today, in this moment. I needed to hear someone else express the same feelings I feel. To know I wasn't alone. I think I'll probably need to hear it everyday. I don't know why my mom chose this song, of all the songs in the world, but I'm glad she did. Funny how things like that happen. I feel 1000x better from hearing it. Thank you. Truly, thank you soooo much.
If anyone out there reads this...if anyone out there struggles with these things...there's no shame in the struggle. Especially if you batle an addiction, or mental health challenges...talk about it. Speak up. Don't be ashamed. Ask for help. Whatever you do, just don't suffer in silence. I'm here to tell you - it's possible to feel OK again. 🖤🖤🖤
