Chicken and Cashew Nuts looked amazing! Nong Nuy is getting more and more comfortable with the camera. She will be stealing the show in no time. The camera loves her! You two, together, light up the screen. Cheer to the three of you.......can never leave out Mr. Friday.
Thanks so much Casey, she reads all the comments. I originally bought the camera for her to vlog, she loves doing makeup videos. But when it came down to it she wasn't confident enough. So I ended up using it myself. She is clearly coming round to being on camera and of course loves the food. Friday, well he is always happy, loves being out and about and everyone who knows him just loves him to bits. Hope we mange to keep you entertained and I will try to get Nong to do her own Mookata (Thai BBQ) video one day 👃👃
I may have to go here. Looks so beautiful. God i could stay there for hours
It is lovely, Thai food is just above average, western food meh. We go fairly regularly for Thai 🙏🙏
Very cool. I never knew it was also a resort.
I like the menu and dining by the water 👍
Fantastic location and not overly expensive 👃👃
I have been reprising all of your vlogs with Nong Nuy. I just wanted to say that you two seem to represent all that is best in a UK/Thai relationship. You are both in your own ways charming and entertaining and your vlogs are very informative. I have been coming to Pattaya since 2016, having discovered the place later in life, LOL. Thank you so much; from a fellow Scot/Brit.
Wow, thank you! Ive been coming here since 92, but decided in 2012 to move over permanently. My Mum (88) decided to move over 4 years ago and feels it the best decision she ever made. Thanks for joining us on our days out in Pattaya 🙏
Love watching your videos. I live in Florida. I was in the U. S. Air Force and saw a lot of places but not Thailand. Thanks for sharing. God bless you both.
Great to hear Norman, I was also Air Force but RAF. Thailand is a lovely place to visit 🙏🙏
You guys can eat!! That's a lot of food. Really enjoyed all of your videos.
Yes we can, but only once a week 🤣🤣
You have a real good knack of combining really useful info about the restaurant, facilities etc whilst at the same time reflecting just how much you two enjoy a bit of peace with each other away from the madness. I too leave it to my lady to order, she knows what I like and I must say i still enjoy and have a gigle at how she "looks after" me when we eat out - its bloody lovely and very personal. Im dreading the huge influx of tourists now we are used to enjoying having such space around us, especially at C&C. Im really liking this channel David - big thumbs up.
Thanks for your lovely comments Toby, yes the pair of us are generally quiet and happy in each others company. We make most of our videos on Sunday or Monday when Nuy has her days off. Yesterday was no different, out at A La Campagne, (video) followed by 808 pool party ...Ibar....then Pin Up, so one of our not so quiet day. Still home by 11pm and fast asleep before midnight 👃👃
Another great video David and what a wonderful venue.
Catch it on a good night, with just a gentle breeze and it is fantastic for sure 👃👃
I watch all of your (this channel) newest videos as they "drop". Now and then I look at some of your older (ish) videos. This one did not disappoint; the food here looked good but, the view of the ocean and also the "tropical" nature of the grounds are top notch. I've heard this place mention many times but, I always just thought it was a funny thing to name a restaurant. So glad I watched this, I will definitely visit this one soon. Hope your mother is doing better!
Hi David, thanks so much, Mum has improved greatly. Cabbages gets mixed reviews from the locals, based on poor European food and when the coaches were here, the poor service. Just now is perfect place to go, fairly quiet, decent service and the Thai food is above average. The views and the entrance make it a memorable experience, especially for first time visitors. Hope you get the chance to visit soon 👃👃
Evening David you were spot on, what a wonderful property and restaurant. Food, gardens and views are all stunning. Another to add to my list, hopefully there in April after Songkran. You’ll be pleased to know that it’s
lashing it down in sunny Bearsden 😒 Paul.
Oh I miss cold horizontal rain so much 5555. Hope this beautiful setting brightened up your day a little. Hoping today will bring some positive news to make travel to Thailand a little easier 👃👃
As you say a really popular place when tourism is back. Food looked great and not overpriced for such a lovely setting.
Lucky to have it almost on my doorstep. Any visitors I've taken always say it is one of the most memorable nights👃👃
I really like your channel plus you got a good friend with you! I am jealous 😮 lol!! Nice place C and C. Does she have a sister?? God Bless..
Marvellous once again
For sure a beautiful place, and only about 1km from where we live
Really enjoyed the video David. Excellent location , and the food looked delicious. Looking forward to eating here on our return to Thailand in August.
If you stick to the Thai menu you will probably be happy. The foreign food offerings, maybe not so much. The views and overall experience make it for sure. 👃👃
Beautiful setting.
It is one of the most romantic settings, for sure, just round the corner from where we stay. Thai food is decent, foreign food probably not so much. Well worth a visit though 🙏🙏
I be going there for sure. I have been to one in the uk 🇬🇧 .. but your one is a little bit of a better setting ! Lovely gardens / sea view .
As I said, any family that come over always say it is one of the most memorable evenings 👃👃
Hi David, what a view! I will bring my mum there on our next trip to the land of smiles. Mum and I really enjoyed this video. Thank you for consistently posting great content. Cheers! Ozzy

Also just published this week's video 👃👃
So nice beautiful
Full support new UA-camr ❤️❤️
Thank you Mr lko and for your support 👃👃
This is by far, IMO the best resort to stay at in the Pattaya and the surrounding area (especially if you have kids) Many expats and parents bring their kids here in the international school holidays and invariably on half terms, so there are always lots of children at these times it should be noted (great if you are a parent and even better if you are one who wants to network with fellow expats! )....there is a massive kids pool, so it's not a nightmare for those that prefer a quieter stay.........................I have stayed there many times and it's just magic and strangely, unbelieveable value.........It's quirky, it has pretty much a private beach, it's never seems busy but it is and the staff were always great........breakfast buffet is or should I say 'was' (as I haven't been there for a decade nearly) always amazing..........It's a true oasis amongst the madding crowd as your video has shown capturing the birds singing away up in the canopy whilst you walked down through the jungle to the restaurant..............
Wow David, that view from the terrace was just out of this world. Also your wife is excellent, she knows how to order great food :) Looking forward to eating here soon. Cheers my friend!
Benny is a beautiful setting, I'm also so lucky, Nong knows what I like and always takes care. Hope you get the chance to try it out out soon 👃👃
ordering your food while listening to the waves lapping up the beach looks a great spot and easy to remember the name your living the dream lad
Franco, of all the places I have taken visiting family to, Cabbages and Condoms always is the most memorable. I was unsure if my mic would pick up the wave noise, so happy it did 👃👃
Wonderful video.... Thank you David, just found you here after watching your ctycling videos on the other channel
Thanks so much James, the content here will be a little different from my cycling channel, but hopefully give you some new places to visit next time you're here 👃👃
I've eaten here with the family, great for thai food like you say and awsome views,25 years after my first visit to pattaya when i stayed in the asia hotel across the road. By the way i love the background music you have on these food vids, awsome 👍
Thanks Dolphin, was a long time ago I first visited Cabbages and Condoms. The music is in the description it is called Orient and is free to use from the UA-cam audio library 👃👃
@@DavidAndNong thanks a lot david, I'll download it to my phone👍
Watch all your cycling videos to see what's kicking, great that you created this channel to give us a insight to all the other treats. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Thanks Andreas, this channel will be a slow burner, but hopefully will help expats here and people moving over to find interesting places to dine and see. Enjoy 👃👃
Nice wee spot, D. Must check it out shortly.....and one or two them quiet beaches you showed. Cozy Beach used to be good years ago as a wee hideaway spot but to be avoided these days. I would just do the very quiet Ban Pur beach at the very very end of Jomtien. Can't wait to get back to my Pattaya. Won't be long now!!! 🙏🙂
Yes Cabbages is great just now without the crowds. Even the little beaches were quiet. For me I like the Soi 4 one. 👃👃
Sawdee pii mai mates. Been at cabbage & condoms in BANGKOK. Is it still there.? Condoms everywhere. It's in dining glass table. Varieties of condoms in drawer for souveneirs. What a concept. Scenery is so romantic. Awesome vlog. Aloha!🍍
Aloha Wok, yes I'm sure the Bangkok one is still there. Some of the tables have condoms under glass, but usually on the entrance level. They used to give you condoms with your bill, but haven't done this for a few years. 🙏🙏
Im loving the new channel David, great to see locations I've heard of but never visited. Nui is a natural in front of the camera. I agree with food offering around, Thai is definitely the way to go. There's not really many Thai places that do Western food well .
Cheers Gary, Nuy is starting to enjoy it a bit more than previous. She will take over soon 🤣🤣
Wow u would not think u where in Pattaya great stream
Yes Lee, lots of other places when you want to give the normal nightlife a break. 👃👃
@@DavidAndNong yes it be nice to take a break for one or two nights 👏
Great vlog, thank you!
This is one of our earliest videos, filmed before I had the capacity to save all the hard footage. It is also the only footage that a TV company contacted me for, to use as part of their TV show 😬😬
Had a couple of canny nights there bud like you say great views.... one day i came around them rocks from Dongtan to that beach thats not for the faint hearted i was knackerd 😁theres another little cheap cafe bar with the same views 100 metres along the beach you can get to it at the bottom of the Soi
Yes David you need to be careful on that corner, I saw one tourist get into trouble and ended up getting CPR. The steps down from Soi 4 are not the best, with irregular heights and some very deep steps. I took my Mum down a few years ago, we ended up having to use the Birds and Bees steps to get back up. Very beautiful though 👃👃
Food looked awesome. As did the setting .
Not a cheap eat, but not over the top. Ideal place to take a friend on a date 👃👃
lovely video, thank you
Thanks David, hope you enjoy seeing the other side of Pattaya 👃👃
Looks like an amazing place David, of all the videos of Pattaya I've seen I've never seen this place, bit of an odd name like but nevermind. it's nice to see some of the more peaceful and classy places there is there. Thanks 🙏
Yes, only a few minutes away and you are in a different world. 👃👃
David, what a great interesting place, love it. Both of you are extremely Blessed 👍😁🙏
Cabbages is perfect for a romantic night, great company, great food and a beautiful outlook over the bay 👃👃
@@DavidAndNong the one I went to in Bicester is purely Thai food but it’s about £35 p head. Love the waves 🌊!
I think living here you sometimes forget the cost of a nice Thai meal back in the UK....and even then you can't buy these views and ambience 👃👃
For all the guys who think Pattaya is all bars and go-go's.. it's cool to see you living your best life. Can't get much better.
Totally. That crap gets old after the second trip to Thailand.
Well , this was my original intention for the channel, showing people the other side of Pattaya 👃👃
What a lovely place- and the founder certainly has a great sense of humour and a heart for the community and good causes. Thailand has always been very open about the need for safe sex (and, together with Brazil) was the first country to provide generic (and cheap) antiretrovirals for people with HIV. Great 'condom' outfits too. Regarding the 'Cabbages' part- a lot of food in Thailand is healthy and affordable, you just need to choose wisely. And what a view at sunset!
Yes great community spirit, the place has a real tranquil feel, from the moment you enter the gardens till you leave, just excellent 👃👃
It’s called Paradise Beach 🏖 where we go, it’s right by the C&C restaurant and there’s a Thai beach cafe that does good traditional Thai food that my girlfriend likes a lot and me too, best thing about it of course it’s a lot cheaper than the grand Cabbages & Condoms! There’s a beach bar as well with good drinks! Very nice relaxing vibe!
I've been on the beach, but not eaten there. Are the steps down to the beach better than before? Love the feel of that whole area 👃👃
@@DavidAndNong Yes, we had no problems accessing the beach, can also go down another set of steps if you walk through Hill Beach Pattaya Hotel
Ok cheers Roy, will take a look 👃👃
Lots of food from the freezer. 🤔 But fab sunsets.
Not sure how they run the kitchen, but the Thai food quality is pretty good 👃👃
What a fabulous place - peace and serenity in a picturesque, romantic setting with spectacular views overlooking the sea.
Your wife certainly adds charm and glamour, as well as the feminine touch to proceedings, and like most Thai women, always seems happy when food is on the table!
By the way, is the 'French Kiss Bar' in Tree Town on your list of places to visit? From what I've heard this place is well worth a visit. I think it's open from early in the morning serving breakfast food, with a varied menu for later in the day.
Thanks so much Pete, lots of words for Nong to learn there in your comment. I will look up kiss although the name (apart from kiss restaurant) doesn't ring any bells. 👃👃
@@DavidAndNong - It has no connection whatsoever to the Kiss Restaurant on Second Road. It's a new place owned by a French man and his female business partner. They're a lovely couple and I think you'll find that the food is top quality.
Do you mean French Kiss, on the backside of Treetown, just along from Danny sports bar?
@@DavidAndNong - Yes, that's the one David. I've found the video where the owners are interviewed by Trevor. ua-cam.com/video/t_X0jWvYGe4/v-deo.html
The mosquitoes ate more than I did (aka Me) the last time I was there😃
Yes Sargy at some times they can be an issue, just ask the staff for repellent and they will bring to your table 🙏🙏
Love the video David. That's what frustrates me about being British. I feel we're so behind the times in reference to feeling embarrassed. The Thai people just get over it and carry on. Hopefully this video will help people become more confident to speak about intimacy 👍
Lol James, I'm trying to remember when I was intimate in the video, but you're right, a totally different approach to life and relationships over here 👃👃
8:03 she looks disappointed that you're going out filming that night. Maybe intimacy was on the cards😄
5555 she thought we could stay out drinking 🤣🤣
Fantastic, I will be coming back soon. Hopefully you can ask the misses if she has a lady friend to introduce me to when get back.
I will ask but don't hold your breath 🤣
@@DavidAndNong it's fine, I have been watching your videos. Well done my friend, I have been doing the math, and I think if I spend about 2k a month USD, I would be living pretty well, but will need some help with a place to live as a condo with furnishings and and I guess a motor bike or a car to get around. If you have a chance to do a video about cost and condos or homes for rent and possible vehicle rentals. I would appreciate it.
@@DavidAndNong thanks for the returning of the messages
Would love to see a video of where ur living and the village would be interesting i like to see how the traditional way how thai live
Asef, we live in Pattaya, not a traditional village by any stretch of the imagination. I have some videos I made when we went back to Nongs village for a funeral, but I would have to search for them🙏
Look forward to that

That's both of them, they were unlisted
Suggestion to try the Ocean Sky floating restaurant boat in Pattaya bay.
It looks lovely Fonz, but a bit expensive for an old retiree. I normally do my cocktails at Hilton, 241 between 5 & 7...always a Scotsman
@@DavidAndNong Oh come on dude it’s like a thousand baht for dinner, that’s peanuts for an experience. Hilton buffet dinner is the same price.
I just looked at the cocktails at 290, dinner last night was just over 1100 and prices were way cheaper than Ocean Sky. I have some on the list to do, like Peaky Blinders and Cafe Blu (same owner as Cafe Des Amis). 👃👃
Was that a monitor lizard swimming in the water ?
It's impossible to get to without own transportation or a taxi 🚕.
Perhaps Beer Garden ? +1
Bolt taxi is just so cheap, a taxi from there to the avenue is 60 baht, no brainer👃👃
@@DavidAndNong Price isn't bad. Very (and pleasantly) surprised 👍👍.
Bolt has brought reality to taxi prices in Pattaya. Grab in town was a rip off, but in Bangkok Grab and Bolt are both about the same price 👃👃
Is that your daughter?
No Mike, she just cleans up well and I had a big paper round, we've been together for 9 years.
