- Hello everyone! Today I'm experimenting with a textured pearl pour. It's funny because this isn't perfect but I think the concept is there. I will continue to experiment with this process. Also I tried out a fun new technique with a piping bag and modeling pasted. This is such a fun technique but you will have to let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy. All recipes are below!

Materials I used in this demonstration:
11"x14" Level 2 Artist Loft Canvas
Tri-Art Liquids: Manganese Blue, Payne's Grey
Amsterdam: Sky Blue Light
Modern Masters: Champagne & Pearl White
Golden: Extra Heavy Molding Paste
NEW COLOR PEARL CELL RECIPE:
3 Parts Flood Floetrol - US
2 Parts Behr 7300 Satin Enamel - untinted
1-2 Parts paint of choice (or .5 part fliuid paint)
1.5 Golden Color Pouring Medium Gloss or GAC 800
Pouring Medium for PUDDLE/POUR OVER/DUTCH POUR paints:
50% Floetrol 50% Golden GAC 800
Puddle & Dutch Pour Paints mixed 1 pt paint to 4-5 pts PM and water to consistency (This is the ratio for highly pigmented paints like Golden, Amsterdam, Pebeo, etc)
No silicone used for cells. It was all the layering of the paints that made those cool effects.

I've been thinking about trying this texture out for a while now, so I think it's wonderful! I appreciate all the tips! I would leave this one as is and try out different colors on other pieces. lol! It does take a little patience but what you can’t really see too well is that I take breaks very often and the pressure to squeeze out the paste is pretty light. Nice thing is you can do some, take a break, do some more, take a break. It doesn’t have to be done all at once! ❤️🙏🏻☺️

Now this is spectacular! What patience you have! Have you ever tried Gaffrey Art paint? I just wondered how it would compare to the paste? He has a pearl mixture that makes all his paint matte, also!

I think it’s cool! Definitely not weird, lol. I would leave the color - it seems like a lot of people use that for house decorations.

I'm loving the texture friend!!! How does it dry? Does the modeling paste retain its shape? I wanna try my second Pearl pour ever with those colors. 😊
Hey buddy! Thanks so much! Sooo…it dries really well. It will shrink as the water evaporates but that’s why I use the extra heavy paste because it retains its shape well. Give me a call if you have any questions!! ❤️
