- “Petrovskaya Akvatoria (Peter’s Water Area)” is the first large historical scale model in Russia at a scale of 1:87, 500 square meters in area, opened in September, 2014.
Permanent exhibition represents reconstruction of the most significant sights of St. Petersburg and suburbs, related to the city and Russian fleet origin, from Peter the Great’s till Catherine the Great’s era, recreated according to engravings and archive sources.
Unusual format of the museum - scale model - makes it possible to get a bird’s eye view of St. Petersburg.
For the first time the main sights of St. Petersburg and suburbs are collected in one place, they may be admired at any weather, and the fountains are in operation for the visitors in all seasons. It is the only place where it is possible to see how St. Petersburg and the main imperial residences looked like three centuries ago and what located in the place of nowadays famous buildings and architectural complexes. - Авто та транспорт
I'm a 71 year old American who sees this and it makes me home sick too be a little kid again when the america I grew up in as a kid was like this especially during Christmas and watching the model train display at the Sears and Roebuck store. People of Russia hold on to these values. The world view of America is all an illusion of what it once was. I'm not truly sure of your view of Putin but my take of him is he is trying to preserve your heritage of a time that you should not let escape you. God bless to you all.
You are not the only one who has drawn attention to Russia's similarity to America of the 50s and 60s ))
Please calm down. You can go to historical American sites and still see these things.
@@maestoso47as only museum, not real life anymore. Calm down you.
It was said in the past that Russia would be like America, and America like Russia. Who mentioned this though; the name escapes me.
Keith you made me cry. I miss my dad and mom. but most of all my son, you would love him, he listened to golden oldies and classic rock, he was an old fashioned soul, 27 yrs old, military. I did take him to see a model train station when he was little, he loved it. I do remeber the 70s, and my son loved the stories. he especially loved the story of my dad being stationed next to jimmy hendrix in the army in the 60s.
Amazing! When I went to San Francisco I saw something very similar, but when you pushed the button, a homeless drug addict dropped his drawers and made a couple cookies on the sidewalk! Lol!
Need to keep doing what I was doing in the 70s in SF.
That model is stunning, really very impressiv😊thank you Sergey for sharing. Hallo from Switzerland, I am 76 years old and love Russia since my childhood❤❤❤

Wow! This is amazing. I love it. It's very detailed and I love that the ships and carriages move. If I lived there I would certainly visit that exhibition several times a year. It gorgeous. 👍. Love the detail for the Ice. The whole thing is stunning.
Thank you for fabulous tour of Model scale St Petersburg and epic and fascinating naritive. I love Russia and the detail of creativity is impressive it is a great Heritage and I love the horse drawn carriages and the Hermitage. Thank you for your live stream and hope you enjoy some warmer weather soon. It is alot warmer than 3 weeks ago in Liverpool. There is not much going on apart from the David Bowie tribute upcoming event at St Georges Memorial Hall this Summer with original backing singers and musicians from the 1970's of his backcatalogue of Chart Hits and autograph signings from Spiders from Mars etc. Looks like could be busy. There are a few good festivals on too usually. Hoping that the summer is going to be cool and great for Tourism in Russia as well as Easter in May. Thanks and warm wishes from Liverpool to your family and their friends too.
Take Care from Christina Briscoe.

I'm really blown away by how brilliant this is. I take my hat off to everyone involved in this creation, I love it!
I've been there two weeks ago, interesting place with good historical guide, but Grand Maket Rossiya with it's dozens funny situations seemed more interesting for me.
Sergey, really cool, man! Wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was very impressive and BIG! Thank you, my Russian history teacher. I enjoyed this very much! ✌️❤️
Brilliant! 🤩 May God Bless the Russians to remain creative and enjoy such fascinations! 😍 Thank you for sharing us with us Sergey. 🥰We love this! 💝😚
Even foggy mornings and birdsong! 🌫🌄🎶🐦
Such detail! Day and night ! ☀🌠 The changing of the seasons! 🥰 Awesome! This is a massive amount of intricate work and a beautiful demonstration of Russia's rich history. We love their recreations of the areas that were destroyed.
(The putting out of the fire - amazing detailing!)
I like how you are speaking in a slightly hushed way Sergey - this endeavour is a masterpiece and deserving of respect!
Sergey, your walking tours are so good that we are able to identify certain buildings and landmarks, even although much has changed. The timing is amusing, as we were speaking of the ice-skating rink and some other features and you answered us immediately, as if you could hear us!
Good evening Sergey blessings from Bakersfield California ❤❤❤❤
Очень здорово! Надеюсь летом мы застанем эту выставку.
Это не выставка, а постоянный музей.
Wow, so cool! Thanks, Sergey!
Absolutely fascinating! Thanks from SRBIJA.
Fantasy land for a child! Also for the child at heart!
Amazing. Thanks for sharing!
I would love to have a puzzle of the aerial view of the palace and grounds. It would be a nice puzzle to put together.
Gosh! This is cool as anything I have ever seen! So much attention to detail! A labor of love for sure! Thank you Sergey!

I actually recognised the shoreline where you and Albina walked to/arrived at after walking from the Peterhof Palace.
What a view!
Very impressive, knowledgeable and beautiful !! Sergey as usual did his best, thank you !!
I've seen some videos of the Moscow City scale model at VDNKh Exhibition Centre in Moscow. I don't know if Sergey showed it already or not. May be Sergey will show that too in future videos 😊
Круто! Зайдем , когда будем в городе.

Amazing!! ❤ Love it. Beautiful
Beautiful
fascinating
What can one say but "Wow!"...have you considered using some of this footage and combine it with a walk to do a "then and now" video so people can see what the places look like side by side...too bad you didn.t have a drone to get aerial footage...you are the best!!
Fairy tale 🌟 Wonderland
That`s amazing!
HO = International Standard Modelrailroader Scale Worldwide "EXTRA" !! Sergey 😀💯👍🐴🐎🐎🐎
Cool!
Wow! This must have opened right after I left. I have to see this.
One of the problems the Russians faced during the Crimean War was the British ships that would move up to the various forts on the way to St. Petersburg and bombard the forts in order to try and get to St. Petersburg. The Russians didn't have the Zircon back then.
is very fantastique
Boas-vindas! 🤗
Russia was and is a beautiful country. More refined that many western countries and more civilized that's for sure. I absolutely loved this Sergey thank you again. 🙂
Spectacular 👌

History is the basis for understanding human actions and so many nations in the world neglect of totally distort history to give them excuses to act in this or that way.

WHOA !! You need to take a break , you will burnout at the pace you are going , and Russia needs you to keep showcasing as we are basically cut off from seeing the real Russia.
Take care of yourself !🇳🇿❤🇷🇺
👍🏻🇷🇺☦️🙏🏻
Poor Peter III, his liking Fredrick the Great and the Prussians did him in. Old Catherine was able to use her personalities in order to gain favor over the most powerful and do away with poor Peter III.
Only in Russia, history come to life Genious and creative.
How can a project be that perfect? It captures the full story of Incredible St Petersburg in the 18th century - seasons, architecture, nature, life, floods, beauty, institutions, canals, and rivers. Very educational. Love it.
Thank you for the great narrative.
I prefer the current version of St. Isaac Cathedral.
This comment may be my last comment on this channel. I just knew that I wrote more than 600 comments in only one year. Most of them on this channel. GOSH. That must have been lots of words. And, Sergey had to read all of it. Why not watch quietly?
