PERFECT HARK GAME!!!! I can't stress enough how fun it is to watch hark gameplay. Even better when it is this perfect. The game had everything. Every kind o WMD know to men, fat spice wells, Brave Sir Rabban leading the legions of the Baron, Overload's karate chops, even harpies showed up, sacrificed agents for the instant gas follow up, a 3v1, a 6x turrets triangle. It was just glorious! Perfect nukes used for perfect saves obliterating armies FTW! The Baron is pleased, let the spice flow!
This game is my perfect comfort game to watch, it's always to nice and chill watching you Turin, even when it gets intense in the endgame, you dont rage or salt which is so nice!
the attack at around the 1:25:50 mark is literally just pure and utter domination lmao. Attacked by 2 armies but the garrisons and turrets you might as well have had 3 there lol edit: don't know if you saw but he also attacked both bases, probably on accident... if it was on purpose then maybe it was to cause a loss in eco? either way it made the Atreides' fight harder by having that... I think it was a 7-slot garrison? assist the already prominent walloping. (mb it was 2 6-slots, literally an entire army and 2 turrets, which I feel like can count as 4 units by themselves... basically a 16 unit garrison, with the 2 extra turrets? yeah. that's an army by itself haha, valley of defense doesn't even describe, I'd be more afraid to fight that than to walk across the deep desert WITH a worm lmao)
dude I just can't XD taking the territory right there as well at 1:28:20 makes it literally impossible to take. I think fighting 6 turrets, a 6-slot garrison, AND the ability to toxic vapor or send army at will makes it physically impossible even for the best players in the world to take that in 1 attack. I mean, when 2 armies, one of them being ATREIDES (strong army in my experience) attacked you, it was like a mosquito on your arm and not a major fight hahaha
Turin, can you explain the concept of “submarining” -you mention it in a lot of videos. And as I am an RTS potato and not a Chad like you, I don’t understand. Can you help please?
As Turin uses it in his videos, it's the idea of not drawing too much attention to yourself in an RTS game with multiple players until the time is right. Because there are multiple players and their combined attacks can (usually) overwhelm a single player, no single player wants to become the target of all the other players in the game. The trick is to let other players be more obviously threatening even while you are building resource stockpiles or strategic positions that you can use to advance toward your win conditions faster than other players. As an example in this game, the Fremen pushed a high amount of Hegemony early. Even though Turin had a high amount of stockpiled Authority and could have taken more territories, he didn't. This meant that the Fremen were the more obvious target, so the Atreides asked Turin to coordinate attacks against the Fremen, and Ecaz mostly didn't coordinate with the Fremen to attack either Turin or the Atreides (much). This let Turin take more territory because the Fremen looked like "the bad guy" and Turin didn't look like as much of a threat, even though he built a significant amount of passive Hegemony through Craft Workshops. Turin said that Atreides and Fremen were fighting each other too long, and this was right. As soon as Atreides, Ecaz, and Fremen saw that Turin was within 1k Hegemony of Fremen and had as much passive Hegemony as he did, they should have instantly allied against him. Instead, they let him get significantly more Hegemony than the Fremen before turning on him. Their continuing feud allowed him to grow more Hegemony, to take territory that let him eclipse the Fremen, and left his army strong while Fremen were temporarily weak. That plus good use of chokepoints, the 6x turret configuration in the North, and a stockpile of Intel and nukes let him defend long enough for passive Hegemony plus Hegemony gains from spice taxes push him to victory.
Glad to help! For an example of what happens when you don't submarine effectively, in this video Daevohk (great player) gets a little too greedy with hegemony and gets attacked by all other players, while Corrino declines to take Governor specifically to let Daev take the heat and prevent a 3v1 against himself ua-cam.com/video/pEwfX9lj3QQ/v-deo.htmlsi=dgE9-OT0u7VNv4B8
Hm, does someone know, if Turn will play Sins of Solar Empires 2? Would love to see some multiplayer matches there, but this game seems to be quite invisible for most :3
Turin please for the love of God, fill up your harvesters with a full crew. I've been having anxiety in the past 30 minutes. Can't you hear me screaming from the other side of the screen? ❤

Turin somehow got to the 60 minute mark without maxing the crew on his harvesters 😅😅
Was very frustrated whenever those harvesters are on the screen 😂

@@markmewhinney2397 this was unbelievably helpful! Thanks so much for taking the time to share a detailed explanation! It’s greatly appreciated!!!

I see the Dune, I watch the Dune.
