It's worth noting that Jerry Heil had already applied for Eurovision last year, but weren't chosen. Her song was called "When God Shut The Door" and it was breathtaking. I like it more then this one, honestly. But I guess it's probably soaked with Ukrainian trauma a bit too much for a general audience, the whole thing is like PTSD: The Musical. Teresa & Maria is more mainstream and light-hearted, but I kinda wish more people knew about the first song.
p.s. She also sings like a blue lady from The 5th Element there, not even joking.

Thanks for the nice video 😊 If you're just starting to discover Ukrainian music you have a long and beautiful journey ahead of you! alyona alyona is indeed a badass, and Ukrainian in general "raps" very well as a language. The Ukrainian music is huge, and there's a lot of variety. One of the many things I love about it is how western influences combine with traditional music and instruments.
As for Jerry Heil, she's been singing for years and there's a lot of her work on YT. I absolutely fell in love with this 2 years ago: Козацькому роду нема переводу - Джеррі Хайл.
And to stop this becoming one of those long unhinged YT comments, I will only send you one more video: Андрій Апостол - Солдат (5ʼNizza Cover) which is a veteran's Ukrainian-language cover of a song originally written in russian by the Ukrainian band 5'Nizza. It's beautiful - much better than the original imo.

What a weird question in the video's thumbnail, especially for a Brit, considering that the UK hosted Eurovision in 2023 because of the Ukrainian Kalush Orchestra's winning Eurovision 2022 with a song that very creatively fused a brilliant rap section with folk.
Girls, you are the best!!! All in all, a song, a combination of lightning vocals and powerful rap, costumes, staging, animations, special effects, decor! It is incredibly! Movingly! Ants on the skin!

Alyona Alyona is a really famous Ukrainian rap singer. And an interesting story of her formation, she used to work as a teacher at school, she made a couple of videos for UA-cam and off she went...) Jerry Hail is a performer and author of many of her songs, talented and possessing enchanting vocals. Overall, the duet is successful, and the lyrics of the song are in perfect harmony with the vocals of these wonderful vocalists.
