That clean playing brought me to tears, do you do lessons on how to play something sorta like that? Also this video was enought to convince me that all I need to fix my tone is this pedal! This is everything I need!
You excel at creating vids that answer all the questions I could come up with. You also make great choices of what to play to really let ppl hear what the pedals are doing. This thing sounds awesome. Love it stacked with the muff!
@@EricMerrow hey I did have a quick question, how did you find the level of compression this pedal introduces to your signal compared to a standard sd-1? Are they about the same or different?
Thanks so much! These are actually “invader-style” 😂 they’re like a $20 set from Amazon. I picked up 2 sets and I initially wanted the green set in the warlord but only the neck position sounded good so I combined it with another invader style bridge pickup
The pedal was built to recreate Jimmys' Eyehategod tone and I am not hearing that at all in this video. No knock on you what so ever. I love your content and this is another good one. The demo that Steve does on the Does it Doom channel, completely nails the tone. It's the exact Eyehategod tone. What are the other factors? I'm a bass player and could talk for hours about bass gear but I just recently started to experience with guitar. It goes without saying that I don't have the rig that you guys play on but the Steve demo really got me into this pedal and I'm disappointed in what I'm hearing here. Again...Not you by any means. Any information you could provide would greatly be appreciated. :-)
Great questions! In Steve’s demo and how Jimmy uses the pedal in his rig is definitely different than how I had it setup. How Jimmy uses it (and how Steve replicated in his demo) is by using a humbucker guitar with the tone rolled completely down. In addition to the guitar, Jimmy runs this pedal into an already gained up amp - so the starting point is already compressed and distorted to some extent. Plus Jimmy uses the pedal with a Randall solid state amp which will definitely have a different sound than my boss katana. In my video I was running the pedal into a pretty clean setting on the amp so that will yield a pretty different result than how Jimmy uses it. I hope this helps!
@@EricMerrow Thank you Eric! That makes total sense! I may purchase a Randall RG3003 which is solid state and eventually the Bower Power. Looking forward to having fun with it. Thank you for taking the time to explain! Keep putting up great content! Cheers!
The tone of this pedal is so good.
Totally agree!

Oh my gosh! Thank you for the kind words! I don’t have a video about the chords but maybe I should make one?
@@EricMerrowI find your videos very informing in general, so I'd love to see it! Just bought the bower power today, perfect sludge metal tone awaits!
@@WizardZazaOfficial you’re gonna love it! I’ll try to get some lesson videos in the works soon!

Sick
Totally!
What pickups are you using here the color scheme is outstanding
The only pickups I know of that look like that are Seymour Duncan Invaders
@TheChainsofAlice that was my first thought.

What amps do you do demos with?
The boss katana mostly. I try to make it a point to mention the signal chain in each video
@@EricMerrow cool i must have missed that. The katana is great. Was my main amp for a long time
@@TheDistortionPrinciple yeah dude, it’s way better than it should be in my opinion.
Great explanation of this pedal. Dammit im gonna end up buying this 😂 im gonna feel stupid paying 200 bucks for an sd1 but its so damn good lol
