I am pleased with the update. The midgets are fun, and while the physics are still a bit too 'arcadey', you do get rewarded for being precise with inputs. The Chili Bowl track looks more or less accurate, but Lernerville feels more like the high-banked fantasty tracks from the older Monster games. It is a shame, as Lernerville is my favourite track on the original Ratbag game. What the series desperately needs is track evolution. We need tracks that go slick and require careful throttle control. As it stands I spend far too much time at full gas.
I live a few min from Lernerville the track is very wide but there is a lot of cushion in the berms so maybe that’s why it looks like that in the game because they don’t run it that wide it gets cut in mid to low of the track
I just bought the Ultimate version mostly due to your channel. Thanks for the valuable info 👍Really looking forward to this as it seems an improvement over TSAAR and SRX.
How many people watching this video can say that they have played kick ball in his Loft Apartment???? This guy can it was back in 2010 I believe in Greenville, IL. Great guy to kick it with.
Regarding the small cars at Lernerville, I’ve notice in real life the cars seem smaller and tracks wider than in iRacing. Watching late models at Eldora and it looks like they could go 7 wide in real life. Not so in iRacing…
I agree I live a few min from Lernerville the track is very wide but there is a lot of cushion in the berms so maybe that’s why it looks like that in the game because they don’t run it that wide it gets cut in mid to low of the track
Watched this on my PlayStation using the remote with my controller on charge and was confused as to why I was seeing notifications that my controller battery was low…
I have this on the Xbox but wish I had it for PC, that did look weird there. Fairbury on here is good, you can run low or high and pull off just about the same lap time
As a local that heads to Lernerville, there’s a lot wrong. There’s way more grass on the bottom and the berm is nowhere to be found on the game. The track is decently wide but they added about 10 feet in the turns in this game it seems. There’s a lot of things they added to the track that aren’t even there also
Problem is with dirt tracks they change way too often, I am pretty sure that Lernerville tore up more of the inside of 1-2 after the iRacing scan due to a lot of wet weather, which then got rid of the grass down there, and then they had to build the berm up on it to keep people off it, at least that is what I remember happening, but could be making it all up.
@@kneebon5 grass is still very much there on both ends but the berms are massive now just from last years drainage issues. Thompson owns it and is doing a great job with upgrades but there’s a lot they got wrong
Really like the game especially when using my fanatec CSL DD I have a question though. Is there some sort of steering assistance going on even if all assists are “off”? I’m completely new to dirt racing and have no experience on how the cars handle but I can’t help feeling like there is something that helps the car steer in and out of the turns. Is this correct or is it just in my head
I only use a controller so cant really give feedback on it but two things, make sure those settings are changed for both the main menu and in career mode, some of the settings need changed in both. Second, these things are made to turn, most of the time on iracing you are steering back to the right, now this game is a bit dumbed down and you steer more with the wheel than throttle, but they still have massive stagger on sprints, and axle lead on most of the stock cars
The replay system sucks ass i tried to get them to fix the replay system to be more like Baxterville but they dont care so it is what it is i guess. Hard to make content for this game when the replays are shite
So quick question If i got a hard copy of the game pa4. I bought the update and won't let me install? Now I don't have Playstation plus. And was wondering if that was it or the fact it's a hard copy I would have to buy the digital copy?
Maybe I'm incompetent but this game for sprint cars is demolition derby. The AI cars run into me all the time. Graphics are amazing but on the track it fails.
They didnt update all the latemodels. Shame they couldnt of fixed some glaring issues, and just add money content. Fact Sprints are the least raced on the game on Playstation.
The car looks like it has a bad push, much like the original Tony Stewart game. Is that because you used a controller? With a wheel and pedal setup, can you actually broadslide? I don't want to purchase the game if the physics suck as bad as the original Stewart game did. Set you car to full 100% loose and you still just turn left at the corner.
What’s weird is, I have always felt like Eldora track in the game is waay too small and not banked as it is in real life…..while this new Learnerville track in the game is too big and banked. Like they could easily be reversed.
@kneebon5 right...I thought Larson ran Outlaws too, same with Rico...I knew it was World Of Outlaws which was why I never heard of most of the late model drivers, I'm more familiar with the Lucas Oil Late Models.
@kneebon5 Rico Abreau only runs Outlaws part time, I just happened to stumble upon an Outlaws race he was in and won, so I just assumed he would be in the game...I actually have the game, just not the DLC.
World of outlaws are weird in how they treat part time people, they wont even let them setup merch haulers at the race track, so im guessing there were big contract issues even with this to get part time guys in that were associated with other series
Sorry about the audio mixing, i did this quickly over lunch, I think it should be ok on most devices. Also I am charging my controller....

Yeah the make believe high line on most of the tracks, shows it's just a game.
My guess to try and get more traffic for iRacing.
Its the closest thing we have to iRacing with Career...I'm fine with it, just wish they would put it on Steam.
Crazy out of all the late models they did not add Jonathan Davenport or Scott Bloomquist two of my favorite drivers 😔
Lernerville oh god 🤣😭 Would of thought having a IRacing scanned version available they wouldn't mess that up ha.
Holy shit you're not wrong, Lernerville looks massive dude lmao
Yeah something is way off, not sure how they screwed that up

It's like they gave 5-10 more feet to the upper part of corners at Lernerville.
About the tear off situation, that's how it's supposed to be lol am I the only one that remembers Pennzoil world of outlaws on PS2
Yeah not even close to real life, and third person dirt is pretty dumb

Eldora isn't that wide, must be an illusion through TV.
I was there in person. Late models look small and the track looked wide. Could all be an illusion.
@@oleboy4332 we have raced there 6 different times, 2 Dreams, 2 Worlds and 2 Baltes classics.
It's not as wide as you think
Well I’ve only been there once as a fan so I’ll take your word for that! Great track and Tony did a nice job with everything
Watched this on my PlayStation using the remote with my controller on charge and was confused as to why I was seeing notifications that my controller battery was low…
Hahaha sorry
Been watching your series. I was at clyde martin when jade flipped twice
They took Lernerville and made it into Daytona
Hell yeah TMEZ in the game!
I have this on the Xbox but wish I had it for PC, that did look weird there.
Fairbury on here is good, you can run low or high and pull off just about the same lap time
It's not on PC because iRacing apparently believes it would cannibalize subscribers from their main service.

Even iRacing had many visuals wrong which is funny

Should be able to update without plus
I don’t see Gio Scelzi in the game even though they said he would be. Interesting
sometimes the cars you can select in single player for some reason dont show all the drivers, and it take an update or two to get them select-able
Aw makes sense. Hopefully he shows up in career mode
Lernerville looks like mega dirt Bristol
Lernerville looks WAY too big. corners seem to have too much banking too
Were you using a wheel or controller, cause when I do a controller on all the cars, I never can keep the car straight
Controller

Why would they put walls on the back stretch the real lernerville doesn't

fewer cars, not less cars

In options whike on main menu
No Kyle Larson or Rico Abreau?

Is this game free on game pass
dose anybody know ho to fix this my game wont update
Not sure mine updated without issues didnt have to do anything stupid like that last dlc
Yeah same my game says it updated but everything is still the same
@tannerhill556 and you purchased the addon? (Sorry i know stupid question but just making sure)

This is an awesome update! A lot of good racing to be had with all these cars and tracks.
Yeah the midgets seem fun, need a few more small tracks for them.
@@kneebon5 yeah Diamond grove and prairie view are a lot of fun. Any 1/4 mile is good with the midgets.
How you gonna skip Haud? Lol
