    It seems it's neverending!! We know. We live on over five acres and bought another property with over ten acres. Summer cutting is constant. Our tiny house is on hold right now. I was slinging concrete cinder blocks like I'm 20 years old and I'm 63. Now I have a hernia and might need surgery. Be careful out there it only takes a second to get overheated and hurt yourself. You guys are fabulous 🤩🤩🤩

      Know what you mean! I am 71, have had both knees replaced, 12 spinal surgeries, CHF with pacemaker defibrillator, kidney failure! When you loose your body and can’t do anything, you understand what it means to take care of your body! I potted 2 plants and planted 3 more today in 80 degree weather. Took me 3 hours plus and now I am going to be down for the next 4-5 days to recover! Best of luck with your surgery!

      @@50spirithealer I'm 48 & keep trying to tell my children & nieces & nephew about being respectful of their body now because that’s the only one we'll ever have. I've had multiple orthopedic surgeries between the ages of 15 to 32, was in gymnastics as a child & teen, always done labor work around the house & building our business the first few years then working in the medical field having to lift patients that are dead weight & being in 2 bad car wrecks in my 20's... it's all taken a toll on my body & it's really telling on itself the last few years. I have severe arthritis in my spine, shoulders, knees, hands & neck. Some days I can't stand no longer than 15 minutes at a time. It's so frustrating & depressing because in my mind I want to do so much but my body says "no, not today"! These young people think they're invincible & will have their health & live forever. I thought the same way at their age. I hope you have better days ahead & can enjoy life without so much pain. Have a blessed day.

    Just a thought. If the foam sheets are cut to the same size. Take the foam into a cool shady place and cut a bunch at a time. Then you can place that bunch of foam at a time. Just pile the cut foam pieces in the headquarters until you need it.

    • @jacquelinewells7575

      That’s what I suggested to them yesterday. Just cut it all to size up under the canopy where it’s cooler and they can stand up. Plus they’re not all bent over cutting one piece out at a time out in the sun. Then when their all finished just pop them all in.

    Hey Jason, this might help in regards to the sun shade. We lower the 4 corner legs when not in use to help prevent the wind from beating it up and we also cover it with a cheapo Harbor Freight tarp we stake down for rain purposes.. I have had mine going on 3 years now (and it is also a Walmart cheapy), pretty sure it is due to lowering it and covering it. Might also help from keeping the rain off the equipment and supplies once lowered... Hope this is helpful!! Keep calm and Shootdang on!

    • @jacquelinewells7575
      @jacquelinewells7575 2 роки тому +3

      Totally agree with y’all. I had one that I left up and a bad rain and storm came up and the rain literally filled the whole top up. Then I finally got all the water off and it left the top dropping down and then a bad wind came up one day and it literally blew it up and flipped it over and bent it all up. So it was useless after that. Lol. So it’s worth it to take just a few minutes to do what y’all do to protect it so it last a lot longer. That’s definitely a good idea.

  • @ronaldgaska4480
    @ronaldgaska4480 2 роки тому +3

    Wow! Jason, Danielle & Jared all that rain and nice Spring weather really made things grow. So cool how you all work together and share work at Shoot Dang Ranch. I love Jared's part of the property. The tractor was the best investment so far. A backhoe would be helpful. Perhaps a tarp tied to trees or wood would hold up to wind. Sometimes you can't trust Walmart or Harbor Freight. Drink plenty of water, use sunscreen and check for ticks on your body where the sun don't shine. This property i think is better then the Crocker Ranch in Texas as far as prediters go. We have finally reached the 70s here at the Connecticut seashore. Shoot Dang Blessings...

    Go to the Dollar Store and get 4 to 6 pool noodles. Put a noodle in each corner and two in the center like an X . That will keep the rain from puddling on the canopy. An inexpensive way to prevent future damage. Like you said it is just a cheap pop rivet. ( Festival participants tip- zip ties, they fix a world of problems just like duct tape.)
