4K UHD Relaxing Drive On Highways - Tacoma Narrows Suspension Bridge - Westbound on WA SR 16 from Interstate 5 Southbound
The first Tacoma Narrows Bridge famously collapsed in 1940 [see "Galloping Gertie" ]. This bridge spans the Tacoma Narrows strait of Puget Sound between Tacoma and Gig Harbor, Washington. It is the northernmost physical connection to the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas from the mainland, and is a common commuting route for residents of Gig Harbor and Bremerton to Tacoma. This is a toll bridge though there is no toll westbound. You can see the eastbound toll booths towards the end of the video.
