Lee Redmond (USA) often said that for some reason she felt protected by her fingernails, as if they formed a shield around her. That shield was cracked in 2009.
Lee kept some fragments of her talons, but she had no plans to grow them back to their former glory.

I'm just wondering, did the finger nails cause the accident ? I can't imagine how hard it would be to drive.
AFAIK, Lee Redmond was not driving, but a passenger in the vehicle when the accident in which she lost her nails occurred. There are videos on UA-cam which show her driving with her long nails.
How tf was she still allowed to drive with those nails
