i'ts almost impossible to play this music, he composed it and plays it without a single wrong note and with tons of feeling, he is one of the best in history of acoustc guitar
This is part of the Fingerstyle All Stars DVD... also has Don Alder, Andy McKee, Jacque Stotzem, and Ulli Bogershausen. It's a good movie to have, you get the view of both hands for most of every song and the tuning which makes it a lot easier to pick up.
He came to festival in Lima in 2006. I didnt know him until then. (see my video) after the concert , i run to backstage in order meet such a great master!
I think this guy is from the same planet as Alan Holdsworth. Both are awesome talents, but I never understand what they are doing. It's always humbling to listen to them before I return to earth.
agree; Allan though played in both worlds; he was - and I still believe: is unmatched on the electric guitar and Synthaxe; he also was extremely skilled on acoustic guitar; nevertheless he always considered himself as "not good enough" on accoustic guitars. To recognize that as extreme self-deprecation one just needs to listen, e.g. to "Deminished Responsability" on the album "The Things You See" where he played with Gordon Beck; or e.g. to "Kinder" in the "Velvet Darkness" Album.
@feedthemonkey83 The main point of using finger picks is to get better sound. When you play only with your pad you get a soft a bit hushed tone. With a finger pick it's sharper, clearer, louder. Other players instead of using finger picks are using their own nails, which sometimes are extreeemely long. Many fingerstyle pros often use fake nails, because when you break one you can quickly replace it.
@dhull111 I think its called finger picks ... my step father ones gifted me some ... its really a bit strange to play with them, but you can get a much better speed and be more precise if you can handle them
@sorongosongo & @FtsDraupnir : You're both right. I mixed up the german word "Niemandsland" with "Nimmerland". It's definitively "No man's land". @3245james : I think they're self-made. Watched him both live and in videos and it seems he uses a thumb-pick and some kind of round metal picks fixed with medical strips. :)
Best guitar piece of all times..

I was at a concert of Peter Finger when he just came out, tuned his guitar a little bit and played this song, very inspiring!
under-rated. up there with the legends, easily.
Right! He truly is!
I was lucky to be able to be at one of Peter Finger's performaces in Taiwan a few years ago. He was simply amazing!!
Peter Finger is from Deuchland. I've met on a concert in 1986 !! Fa-Bu-Lous !!

masterful playing from 2:30 onwards best song ever!
the shame is hes not well known in germany =(
Definitely awesome. Reminds me of the album Intuite by Pierre Bensusan and that album I do love. So ...definitely awesome.
Prst dolů na tohle hraní může dát jen ten, kdo je lepší jak tento hráč. U mě prst nahoru = super!!! gratuluji. :-)
¡Precioso y qué bien tocado!
Positively brilliant.

I even cannot understand so far how his fingers move from 4:47 to 4:51

No, the english translation for the title would be :
"Land of Nobody" or "Nobody´s Land"
Neverland would be NIEMALSland
