The pink plants are called Pink Muhly Grass. They made their way into Korean landscaping and got very popular in the recent few years. But it’s now considered potentially threatening to the indigenous ecology and being monitored by the government. Aside from that, as a Korean, I appreciate how your video conveys the “calm beauty” of the island so well. I’ve always loved your calm aesthetic, and Jeju is such a fitting place for you in that sense. Thank you for sharing your experience in such a beautiful yet relatable way. I hope you and your friends had a wonderful time in Korea!
This whole video was so well edited. Girl I feel you at the Hallasan hike. Glad you all enjoyed this magical trip. Thank you for sharing! We appreciate you ❤
this vlog truly made me miss my trip to jeju 5 years ago :’) you documented everything so beautifully & your vlogs always give me a sense of calmness! i can’t wait to see your adventures in busan next ❤
I am so glad that you had such a good time here in Korea, Weylie!!!🥰 14:56 The plant of the field is called 'pink muhly' and there are so many great spots with these plants during fall in Korea, especially Gyeongju. Hope to have you back here again next time!!!🫶🏻
This vlog absolutely warms my heart ❤️ I love Korea. Beautiful sceneries, fun night culture, shopping, cafes, food, karaoke, and the people love to party 🎉
Korea is just so gorgeous ❤ the food, the architecture and culture is just so mesmerizing. Vlogs like this make me want to take the trip, hopefully one day I can. Thanks for another great vlog 😊
I went to Jeju and Seoul last month and props to y’all for hiking Hallasan 😂 I saw the trail and said NOPE. I am definitely missing Jeju right now and your vlog brought me back 🥲❤
Had a period where I stopped watching your videos and is currently binge watching your camping and Korea vlogs. Your vlogs are super comforting and make me feel at ease from anxiety and stress. I'm glad to revisit your vlogs because it makes me feel more peace and joy about life. Thank you and hope you never stop doing these vlogs because they are so peaceful to watch. Love you always guuurl❤
It looks so calm and peaceful, I need to take that kind of trip one day. I’m visited a lot of places that are grand and larger than life, filled with people, but a trip focused on more tranquil and beautiful areas would be lovely too. Loved the vlog!~
I know it's said every time, but your filming and editing is next level! I'm taking notes 📝 Got a kick out of "we are hiking because we wanna eat some more" 😂
I am Hispanic and sadly don’t have much Asian friends, so I really appreciate your content because it allows me to familiarize myself with all these beautiful new places, traditions, food, and words! I am adding Jeju to my travel list thanks to you 😊
Oh my, thank you for this! 😍 It’s bringing back so many memories. I was in Jeju in November this year and had such a lovely time. You really have a gift to capture beautiful moments 🫶🏻
I was watching jeju vlogs yesterday and chose ones based on high views but this came up as a recommendation today and i gotta say..... your content is a LOT better than the others and your suggestions are definitely going on my list. Thank you!!!
Wow this was one of my fav vlogs! I loved all the places you went and Im sharing this with my husband so we can get ideas for our Jeju Trip one day in the future! Also I love the voice overs! Who doesnt love voice overs?! They make me feel like Im there while you are showing the areas and its like I have a friend on my side telling me about the places!
Korea is definitely one of my fav places! So much culture and style, the people are always so lovely too! Love this relaxing video. I feel like you and Wah could live on Jeju~!
I would actually love to see what and how you packed for the trip! It would be so helpful and would love to hear your thoughts! I often feel like I either over or under pack
This was the cutest vlog ever!! I love how calm and peaceful your videos are. They bring me so much joy and I love how I related so much to all the activities you did!
GURL I feel you.. I hiked Mt Hallasan recently and boy!!! My knees were screaming for help midway up.. Took me 12 hours to complete the entire hike up and down. T_T Tip for anyone planning to go.. Please train yourself at least a week or 2 and prep sufficient water!!! (Pack light if possible and bring hiking sticks!!)
wow so much beauty! thank you for sharing your trip with us, hallasan looked absolutely beautiful. girl at least you had stairs.. the hikes in wales... are rocks and black ice with a howling winds and crazy weather!
I’m so glad you said something about your knees because mine were hurting just watching that hike! 😂 It was so beautiful, though. Definitely on my bucket list.
Thank you so much for sharing! Jeju looks absolutely beautiful so peaceful. I will have to put that on my list of places to travel to. Also I’m proud of you girl, you completed such a challenging hike! You go girl! 😄
I so enjoyed this! My Mom and I want to visit so badly and we're sitting here munching on chips watching this vlog. We literally felt like we were on the trip with you - major wanderlust! Thanks Weylie
This is such a beautiful vlog 🥹 thank you for sharing this trip with us ❤️ I would like to add something tho, for anyone that might visit Jeju in the future: although renting a car is probably the best choice when exploring the island it is 100% doable by bus as well. I went to Korea with my mom in late September and we were in Jeju for 4 days and we were able to visit pretty much all the important landmarks around the coast. I guess the only downside is having to book accommodations and moving luggage around to be able to see as many things as possible but despite what people say, we had no problem with the bus system in Jeju 😊 can’t wait for the next videos 😋
Your luggage is ADORABLE 🤍 Inspired after watching your vlog! I visited Seoul during the summer but didn’t get a chance to visit Jeju because it required a car but watching your vlog will suffice for now 😌
I've been living in Korea since 2017 but I still have yet gone to Jeju.. 😫 really need to go!! You really captured Jeju so beautifully!! Also the pink plants that you saw are called "pink muhly grass" 💗
aw i'm so happy you were able to experience jeju! i'm so jealous - i've been for a short weekend once when i studied abroad in college but i want to go back so badly! thanks for sharing, you captured jeju sooo beautifully!!!!! it felt slightly nostalgic and i loved seeing how pretty it was again through your lens :')
Hi Weylie welcome to Korea! The plant is called Muhly. Wow, you made it to "Baekrokdam"!!!!!! I admire you. I'm never going to hike the top of Hallasan😂 You know what? You're very lucky. The Baekrokdam only allows 30days to show itself. The weather in Jeju is usually unpredictable, so many people rarely see the lake. It would have been great if you had known that you can make a ceriticate with the photo of Baekrokdam in a photo booth where you started hiking. That's the reason why people stand in line to take a photo with the stone engraved letters. The photo machine works only when you show the letters to it. It will automatically identify the letters and give you the certificate for the adventure.
That was some beautiful scenery, especially where you went on that 6 hour hike all the way up to see that stone, not sure the significance, but wow. I would love to go to Jeju, but I can't afford it now, maybe down the road. Thanks for sharing this trip. It was really nice to see.
Hi Weylie! I am going to Korea in April and will be visiting Jeju Island also! Do you have any recommendations for where and how to get car rentals?? :)
Hi Weylie! Your carry on IS WAAYYY TOO CUTE!!! IM SO JELLYYYYYY! Anyways, can you do a video of who pet sits your bunnies while both u and Wah take trips together? I’m curious bc I’m also a bunmom. Thanks!
Thank you! I linked it in my bio in case you want to grab one! Wah's mom babysat Sesame as well for this trip! Usually, we have friends or family babysit her 🐰
Alright I neeeed a review of that cloud looking carry-on roller from artrips! Does the white get dirty easy/is it easy to clean, is it easy to scrape? Etc I love that thing so much 😂
I went to South Korea too in October. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go to jeju but I hope to visit sometime in the future. For translating, I used the papago app and it is so good. I was able to take pictures of menus and written words in general and have them be translated and I can speak to it or record someone speaking and it translates so well. I've heard from Koreans too that it translates better than Google. So highly recommend
Loved this vlog! I'm thinking of going to Korea next year in October as well. How is driving in Jeju? I really want to go to Jeju myself but didn't think about how I'd get around...Never driven overseas so a little nervous at the thought of it (:
I also rented a car in jeju and its not bad at all! I highly recommend it! Make sure the guys at the car rental turn on the english language option of your car gps.

I’ve been watching your videos for probably over 10 years and I just love how authentic you are! 🤍 glad you had a good trip!
I'm visiting Seoul for the first time since moving to the US when I was 6 (I'm 31 now), and this really inspires me to try to make time for Jeju!
this vlog truly made me miss my trip to jeju 5 years ago :’) you documented everything so beautifully & your vlogs always give me a sense of calmness! i can’t wait to see your adventures in busan next ❤

Loved this vlog!!! ❤❤ Btw, don’t think it was featured here, but you wore a butterfly necklace in a few other vids, wondering where it’s from :)
How exciting
Alright I neeeed a review of that cloud looking carry-on roller from artrips! Does the white get dirty easy/is it easy to clean, is it easy to scrape? Etc I love that thing so much 😂
It did get a little dirty, but most marks came off with the Mr. Clean magic eraser sponge!
the pink plant is called pink muhly!! super beautiful and seen in many places across korea :D
Ah mine was 15 hour flight ! Just got back from gorgeous fall in Korea ❤
Actually planning a very similar itinerary in few wks with my mom!! Did u guys stayed at 1 airbnb?? Or did drive all the way to/back from Seongsan??

Hi Weylie, I think it's called pink muhly grass :) Jeju is known for it during the fall season!
