Do you know what’s 10-1000x more expensive than hiring an employee? A co-founder. If you can push through it alone, you have a huge amount of additional leverage a year or two down the line. It comes down to a personal choice.

These are mostly Product Management knowledge but it comes back to her first and most important point which is to assemble a well-rounded team. If you are just a team of developers, get a very competent Product Manager. Don't bother with loud and always-on-Red-Bull junior POs/PMs. Not every 21 year-old Zuckerberg-wannabe out there is worth your time and effort. Anisa is obviously an exception, a rarity rather than a common occurrence.

Wow! This seems good! The best educational material on bootstrap startups after Rob Walling book "Start small Stay small" and after same his interview to Loius Grenier in 2018 and another one off his podcast, out on 2015 called "Steady step approach to bootstrap". But this one in addition has form of great entertaining video!

YC like any accelerator is sort of a course, it gives you a knowledge and connections. And an option to pitch your startup before investors in the end. So if you are not pitching at the end, then you end up with you just finished a startups school.
So yes, you remain bootstrap type of startup.

@@MA-channel1 no .. that's not how it works ... YC will invest 100K intialy (after acceptance) in your startup way before demo day (for 10 or 15% of the company) ..

From the very beginning, business owners face the challenge of financing their business. At this point, there are two options. Start-up financing strategy and so-called Bootstrapping or investment. Each of these options has its advantages and disadvantages. But which one is right for you? Bootstrapping or Fundraising?
    retiba.com/academy/fundraising-analysis/attracting-foreign-capital-bootstraping/
By asking these questions and trying to get the right answers, Ratiba Group helps correct business performance. In this way, the skills and experience of the experts will help the managers and entrepreneurs of the collection to make better choices for the company’s capital financing strategy. As we said, choosing the method of financing is ultimately a decision that the entrepreneur and the founder of the company must make. However, this choice is made according to the conditions and goals of the company, which requires data analysis, evaluation and expert opinion.
