I can relate to Chris Robert’s mindset. I had a skate career nearly spanning 2 decades. From fakie big heel manuals to back lipping 10 stairs, I would say I had a great run and am happy to have all the footage and memories. I hurt my knee and never came back the same since. I’m more of a dude that hops on it now to ride to the store with my dog. Chris Robert’s did his time and you could tell he still loves skateboarding and he definitely knows his skate history. Respect brother, fuck all of the haters keep doing you.
We need more of this just some chill skate sessions with a homie on some old spots.

Seeing Ronnie Creager's switch ollie over a fire hydrant in Menikmati got me into skating. I was skate curious before that, but I was all in the moment I saw that. It was like a switch flipped in my brain. It was the coolest, most amazing thing I'd ever seen in my life. I obviously didn't even know it was switch. His part really blew my mind; that tech stuff was so different from what the other guys in that video were doing, just seemed so creative and fun. If I recall correctly, some folks at eS were hassling him for not doing crazy stunts, but I think he had one of the standout parts in that video. His style looked so cool. That's really what translated to me as a kid who was into music, didn't really understand what all this skate stuff was about and totally wasn't into sports at all; his skating was like music.
I'm watch anything with Ronnie in it, he was ahead of the game late 90s into early 2000s

Creager's the shit dude. He's been skating good for so long. I recently got his eS shoes, probably one of my favorite pairs of shoes
In my golden days..... Met Ronnie twice randomly, once floating the salt river when my float popped, he let me float the rest of the river on his float and we talked skateboarding, and drank (pretty sure he has a pop-shov tailgrab tattoo). Next time was at Tempe skatepark, and I was trying pop-shov tails over the euro gap with a broken nose. Dude gave me a fresh board and I road that for a year or 2. Love the skate community!
One, I'm 43, I really feel this energy. Two, I did a double fist clutch when Chris hit the trick.
