Considering how vulnerable Heavy would be to if forced into the GRU's health drain AND the extra damage taken from the Steak at the same time, I feel like stacking the Buffalo Steak and GRU's speed buffs could work fine in the current day, as well as giving the Steak a proper role outside of medieval mode.
yeah but the problem comes in rollouts, where you're not being attacked and a heavy can reach mid faster than a scout
@@tvna5404 I think that reaching mid faster at the expense of having a Sandwich and a melee weapon that drains your health as long as it is out is a fair tradeoff. And after the midfight heavy players who continue using this combo are much more vulnerable to being flanked while being forced to melee only and having their max health lowered.
@@tvna5404 And after that rollout, when the scouts arrive at the exact same time since they can still double jump to make up for that minimal speed advantage you're on 100 hp and your med can't get you higher than 150. 2-3 meatshots with med, 1-2 meatshots without, and you're a sitting duck if you wanna fight back.
@@MaximusChivusbefore jungle inferno (aka when this glitch was active) the gru didn't drain max hp but instead marked the user for death, making all damage minicrits
@@MaxPower-qt3vw The Buffalo Steak Sandvich can be thrown at teammates to restore 50% health on a 25 second cooldown. The alt-fire, by far the best part of the Sandvich, is completely identical on the Buffalo Steak.
If eating the steak actually did notably help the Heavy move out faster, then a hypothetical steak+GRU rollout would have effectively no downsides on a map large enough to accommodate it.
The real reason this wouldn't be busted, is because the steak does not notably help the Heavy move out faster. Compare a current patch 299hu/s Heavy to a hypothetical 388hu/s Heavy if both stacked. The 299 speed Heavy would spend 20.3 seconds walking at 299 speed, and travel a total of 6,070 units. The 388 speed Heavy would spend 4.3 seconds not moving at all, then 16 seconds moving at 388 speed, travelling a total of 6,208 units.
That's only 2% more distance in exchange for hard locking yourself to melee for 16 seconds, which is almost always going to be far too long, and even if you did want to have your melee out for 16 straight seconds and covering 6,200 units of ground you'd almost definitely not notice that 2% difference. Only 0.46 seconds worth of distance at 299 speed, which you could easily miss out on by just sub optimally switching to your steak or sub optimally eating it.
Speed Heavy would get a big health penalty from the gloves nowadays too.
Literally Fat Scout, moreso than shotgun heavy could possibly hope.
Health penalty from the gloves and damage vulnerability from the steak. it would honestly not be overpowered at all if the gloves and steak could stack again
Seeing heavy be incredibly fast is so funny, especially how his animation is still somewhat slow so it makes him look goofy.
I don't think i would be laughing if i encountered that tho XD
Brooo with the way they are now I think letting them stack would be fine. Like this combo is basically a death sentence for heavy right now, at least let my boy have the speed.
The problem with it is that it lets Heavy quickly go anywhere. Heavy’s weakness is that he’s terrible at repositioning and everyone can run from him or chase him down
@shadow50011 The other guy is right. While using the GRU, he'll be at 100 health, which removes his strength of being tanky. Also he'll be marked for death, which makes him more vulnerable and locked into melee combat.
Bring back the super-speed Heavy, obviously don’t make him as fast as Scout.
I think it would be hilarious to see a Heavy moving around at the speed of sound punching everyone who gets in his way.
I mean he gets 1 shot by basically everything at 100 hp with damage vulnerability, might as well make him fast as a 4 head demo knight who is better in every way shape and form
Sniper: "this Heavy should be an easy kill."
Heavy: _Starts running at the speed of light_
Join a tf2 x10 server, equip dalokohs and GRU, switch to gloves and drain your health to 100 then switch to dalokohs, eat, heal up, switch to gloves.
Boom you now move faster than a scout and untill you swap weapons, you have around 800 health
It would be immediately banned in comp lmfao heavy rolling out to mid at the same speed as scout is terrifying
The gloves of dying quickly sounds like a fun meme play style.
It should be allowed to stack again since it would be banned in 6s anyways. A fun strat for casual that would be degenerate in 6s.
6s has always been a dumb case to me. Rather than build a meta around how the game actually works, they just ban any item that threatens the intended meta they've created for themselves.
"Uh oh, an item lets Heavy rollout to mid in time for the first teamfight? We can't let Heavy be viable in 6s! Ban that item!"
@@augustday9483Silly, it's because that would make the game boring to watch and would create a horrible 15 seconds stalemate 😤😤🤔
I say let them stack. Heavy can't switch from melee while under the effects of the steak. Plus his max health goes down when the GRU is out. Yes he'd be faster than scout, but weaker. Seems balanced to me
At that time hearing "IM COMING FOR YOU" would've been genuinely horrific knowing he can run faster than a scout
"I AM COMING FOR YOU!!" -The Heavy, TF2
like we’d ever get a balance change again 😢
Literally Fat Scout
Oh my god that looks so fun. Especially with how weak the steak is in general
Boxing heavy needs SOMETHING to keep up with other classes. They give Demoknight speed, health, and resistances, while giving heavy... A slight speed boost and vulnerabilities???
it's pretty weird how they gave the strongest class in the game that can make it situationally even stronger at basically no downsides whatsoever, not to mention the fact you can totally switch the booties and shield when you already have 4 heads for pills and stickies and play an even stronger Demo while heavy has to be made even weaker while holding another weapon that makes him more vulnerable
@@tizianolocarno111 ok demoknight isn't "the strongest class in the game" he's a trade class, but demoman with 4 heads is indeed very stupid I agree. Idk man I just want boxing heavy to be... At least as good as Babyface Blaster scout in terms of usability. Is that an ok amount of strength to ask for?
@@guimon78 I meant demoman not demoknight lol, but yeah, heavy deserves better
@@tizianolocarno111 ah fair enough. I'd still argue sniper or Engi can be more impactful, but since Demo counters both...
@@guimon78 there's a reason why Demo is limited to only 1 in sixes, a good demo can pretty much counter every class except probably for a god scout or pyro really
That one time Heavy became The Flash
I think all speed boosts you can have should be stackabled. Imagine a Disciplinary Action whipped Heavy barreling towards you with his fists glowing.
U will have an effective health of 80 but u can become a speedy boi.Sounds good to me!
A yes, Car heavy
A Heavy chasing after a scout and actually being able to catch him would be a comedic expierience
Bring this back. It wouldn't even be overpowered.
Super Speed Heavy honestly would be hilarious to see in a Casual game
It's justified for heavy to sprint now, make him the true fat scout
the o e time in all of TF2 where heavy wasn't shit
Know they need to add the "FLINT LOCKWOOOOOODDD!!!!!!" Meme
Must be hilarous to start a match and see a heavy just zoom past you
Now a image of an heavy running at light speed while in uber are haunting me whenever I sleep.
Thank alots.
He truly was the fat Scout
The ultimate fat scout.
Of course Heavy would be significantly faster without just minigun
heavy outrunning scouts in a melee chase is the funniest thing I've seen today
Just imagine seeing a heavy running as fast as the scout in the full Jojo outfit with the gloves
So Fat Scout Rush is a lot more canon than I realized
Yes, since GRU lowers heavies HP to 100 (150 with overheal), and all the damage multipliers the enemy gamers get against you, the justice should be made
I honestly think if they keep the stats of the Gru, than yeah they should add the combo back
Speed melee Heavy would be hillarious, I want it
Heavy just wanted to go fast.
I’d honestly love to see the speeding meatball return, it seems really funny to have a heavy go faster than scout and with how the items work nowadays, it wouldn’t be broken too
And with a Dicipline Stick Soldier...
Sup speed heavy
POV: Scout has alerted the Gru and Steak Stack Heavy!
we're rolling out heavy2mid YEAH
with the fact that the steak has a secret damage weakness, it definitely should stack, at least to 50%
Fun fact: As stupid I was back on 29th September 2010 -
I installed everything from my "The Orange Box"-DVD,
including "Team Fortress 2"
Shoulda kept this one chief, that massive damage penalty and HP drain balanced that out heavily.
This is literally just the eviction notice
Superfast heavy is such a funny meme.
Bro if this existed and plus if we can have a shotgun in our main slot this may truly be Fat Scout Gaming
i mean after all slow characters some what becomes the fastest character with a specific power up💀💀💀💀☠️
A bit off topic to this video but who remembers the infinite health glitch with the gloves and dalokohs bar back in around 2016? 😂 That glitch was funny as heck. I was running around punching other players with the holiday punch and they could do nothing. Only spy backstabs would be able to kill me :D
Heavy is flying!
Funfact, if you scale the characters of Halo to TF2 scale, they move slower than heavy.
Halo really was baby's first fps
I’d love for them to stack again, it was such a goofy time 😂
heavy had so many hilarious bugs
They looked at heavy, looked at his pick rate, looked at probably the coolest thing a heavy has been on record doing, and said “this can’t stand, we’re changing it”
Old GRU was insane. Not the old one that marked you for death (mini-crit on hit) but made you bleed
Yes, with how jello heavy nowadays with the gru, he is either really fast back to front line or die really fast trying to.
Steak+gloves+max run speed upgrades (MvM)
Imo the scratching on whiteboard sound isn't even that bad, its the feeling that it gives you to your nails that makes it extremely uncomfortable
Baller asf. Should've kept it in
I still utterly deepise the gru's health drain
For five days true fat scout existed
Tbf. Wish we could get a fat scout like that one😊
that would finally give a use to the steak
The lost subclass we deserve
LET HEAVY BE FAST AGAIN!
We need this in game man
GRU Heavies be schmoovin.
This would make Heavy an absolute monster in Medieval Mode!
It's heavy using a daily weapon that slowly saps his health so, yes, I think they should stack.
We need this back it would be so funny
I am very much liking the idea of super speed heavy! Being a player who entered after jungle inferno, this may be one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. The two items do come at a huge cost of health drain and melee restriction, (technically also losing out on the sandvich) so I think it's honestly a lot closer to balanced than it would first appear. I'd suggest maybe the GRU or steak half-stacks, where it adds 15% when combing instead of the full 30% to be less absurdly fast.
Imagine if scout could use these. He would be uncontrolable
I need my speedy heavy.
The Buffalo Steak's speed increase could've been made additive, like the Disciplinary Action's speed boost. A speed boost grants a flat +105 hammer units per second to the player's movement speed (unless it reaches the +40% movespeed cap).
So the Steak's movespeed bonus could've been a flat +70hu/s, so it wouldn't stack multiplicatively with the GRU; the GRU + Steak would only grant a total move speed of 381.15hu/s
i'd love for all the speed effects to stack, imagine GRU + steak + disciplinary action and the concheror
Steak and brass knuckles makws you fast glass canon.
You know how cool that would be, it could be a legit alternative to the sandvinch, in exchange for giving up your melee and secondary slot you could move to the point faster, just maybe cap the speed out
So basically this was a 3/10 heavy loadout that got nerfed into a 1/10
Fat scout is finally real (except you have to remove your shotgun)
Absolutely should stack. Turboheavy would be hilarious, and it's such a niche and vulnerable combo it'll pretty much be a joke subclass.
Justice for super speed heavy lmao
JUSTICE FOR SUPER SPEED HEAVY!!!
they should stack so I can make a knuckles joke
So now the fastest one is an eyelander demoknight with 4 heads cut?
I'm already terrified of a maxed demo knight to the point I'd equip Babyface to fight them. But a heavy that could move faster? He'll no
it needs to stack
Could be a funny gimmic for the memes. Just this giant Russian dude running at you at super speed to bang knuckles and then killbind
WE NEED EVEN FASTER HEAVY!!!
Justice for hoovy speedster!
Super speed Heavy should make a comeback, because while he is restricted to the melee weapon upon consuming the Buffalo Steak Sandvich, and takes more damage, and has the health drain of the Gloves of Running Urgently, it would still be perfectly balanced.
It should be brought back just for the fat scout memes
Bring this back, just let the speed boosts stack and have the weapons be as they are currently.
If you wanna meme go boston basher crit a cola scout, you do extra dmg with the boston basher to your enemies but if you hit yourself it does not do additional damage. It is really toxic
Others have noted it already, but the unique mixtures of vulnerabilities and health drain from New GRU. I think it'd be totally fine to allow fast heavy again.
Yes! God I want this back. I also want ghost soldier back, it was such a stupid yet fun way to market garden.
They should definitely be allowed to stack again. Marked for Death Minicrits AND a health drain is a fair trade off for the speed increase. It would make the combo a great retreating tool.
Lol that ending
Valve makes it more scary
I wasn’t around to witness this in real time. But, the thought of vanilla tf2 allowing heavy to chase me down at even just the speed of a pyro is honestly terrifyingly hilarious
That's how it is with the gloves of running urgently now, so if you see a heavy using them... Run.
@@TheFrantasticnah they are the single most easy kill in the game
a gru heavy has to switch to a slow mini gun or a less lethal shotgun that is burst damage
depending on how long it has rhe gru you can even one shot him
Some days ago I was playing MVM and I had the quite funny moment of GRU + concheror + speed upgrades allowing me to run after and reach a Super Scout robot
@@purpleapple4052 Pretty cool
If you whip a GRU Heavy he can temporarily run faster than a Scout
