    shoutout Wawa!!!
I credit my Dad taking me on fly-in-fishing trips in Central Ontario at a young age to my continued love of angling and hunting to this day.

Man that gives me the fever. Last time I was up there was 2018. Started going with an outfitter out of Armstrong Ontario back in 2000. Mattice lake outfitters. We flew 80 miles north to a place called Auger. It’s a great time. Great way to break up the monotony of every day life. Do you guys take the time to clean and eat pike as well or those all just catch and release for sport?

We definitely ate a lot of fish while we were there.

It hurts to see so many big dead walleye. Guys like this are still hanging onto the “fill the freezer back home” mentality.
It’s so much better for the fishery to just keep a few small ones for lunch and throw the rest back. It takes a LONG time for those big walleyes to grow, and they produce massive amounts of eggs.
