Animosity doesn't target star players? Player: *wants to keep ball for himself* Star Player: "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? DO YOU?" Player: *quickly hands off ball*
I know I'm late, but I like to build my Goblin as a ball carrier. Two heads, big hand, and extra arms or sure hands. He can dodge into anywhere on a 2+ and pick up the ball with no negative modifiers, then bolt away. Some strip ball players with that Goblin lurking nearby is fantastic.
DE having access to agility as primary skills, means he can have Blodge quicker, plus Sidestep too, also 2+ Agi on a great ball carrier can't be understated. 6 MA is fine, since the rest of the team has 5 or 6 MA, and you don't want to out run your protection anyway. Skaven with 7 MA is wasted since his protection has 5 or 6 MA, while still having primary access to Block or Wrestle, Tackle, strip Ball, etc make him a great sacker. Also, with 7 MA he's able to cover both sidelines from the centre without rolling GFI's. Just my thoughts.
Great to see your guides Andy! Keep it up and looking forward to seeing Elf Union and Chaos Chosen. If I can make a small suggestion, would you consider adding Timestamps for each segment of the videos? Would make it very convenient to co-ordinate. Keep up the great work!
Hi Andy, I would also consider Leap and Very Long Legs and - if you play in a League - Horns as a third skill for a very threatening dark elf sacker...
So I’ve seen in your other videos that you add formations but not in this one. I did the two big guys lineup is there an offense and defense formation you recommend? Or is there key places I should be putting certain players?
@@FoulPet you'll find that if I had 3 months to create all the content I'd change little bits here and there, I could have talked about this race for 2 hours and still had things to cover too. At some point you have to draw a line.
@AndyDavo's Blood Bowl I've nothing against your content. I find it extremely useful, intelligent, and interesting. But his comment made me think of a guy that said Ford is the best car you can get for the money, then he brought a Honda. If you push a specific character, then I'd figure it would effortlessly find its way into a built.
I also prefer Rat Ogre over Minotaur. MV6 Big Guy is very rare. Its skill set is worse than Mino but Animal Savagery is at least guarantee action. You can give its Horn later if you want.
Had a troll, ogre and rogre. I have just done a thing when my troll died, I bought a minotaur. Trouble is I don't know how to skill it cos my rogre was my blitzer and has block, juggernaut, stand firm and break tackle. Any tips?
You said the rat ogre was a must pick, but then didn't put it in any of your rosters. Would would be your final 3 big guys be once you had enough money on this team?
Great guides Andy. However, I dont think I would recommend a player having both Claw and Mighty Blow. In the new Blood Bowl rules, you can't use both Claw + MB in the same block action. You must chose one or the other. So after block & guard, I would choose a different mutation, strength, or general skill. Such as Pro, Defensive, Stand firm, tackle, ect.
hey - so the Claw and MB guy is the killer right? Well Vs Av7 and possibly AV8, sure you're either getting no or limited value from Claws. But AV9 or 10 (remember MORG) Claws is still very good, not as good as before, but still good.
Because basically every player needs 2 levels before they become interesting, I have a really hard time wanting to play the number of games needed to make them interesting. On the other side, I think this could be my favorite team if several of the players started with spp.
@@bendavy1816 My very same concern. Coming across teams with the very same set of level ups over and over again, creating a "meta" which...i don't think was really meant for bloodbowl
Is Sneaky Git working? I can't tell it making any difference. Hence I roll doubles on a foul with a sneaky git and he gets sent off anyway just like anyone else.
You might have to wait a little while. It’s hard to show the game without getting frustrated or casting it in a negative light right now. Anyone who wants the game to succeed or doesn’t want to be negative probably won’t show much gameplay until it’s more stable. Kinda sucks having to show people a game you love not working. I don’t know this guy but I’m guessing he’s either deep into blood bowl and doesn’t want to cast it negatively or he’s a positive guy and doesn’t want to show the bugs right now.
Totally off tangent question... my wife is reading this British murder mystery series of novels. And she commented that every single book, it is commented on that someone has no ice in their house. Is this a common occurrence in the United Kingdom? Or just England? Do people not have ice makers in their refrigerators? Or ice cube trays? It's killing me not to know...
My two primary cold drinking containers are insulated. They keep my drinks way cooler, way longer than ice, without the hassle, and without watering down the drinks inside too. I keep a third one always in my vehicle too. I am Canadian, so six months out of the year I could just go outside to chip some ice if I really wanted too. This is a half joke.
I don't think he loses any points for giving good information about a good game (Blood Bowl in general) yeah the game is crap, but it still has the official BB2020 rules so this guide will still be helpful when playing that ruleset somewhere else or if the game ever gets its act together. But I'm sure the traffic for BB stuff is higher now on release, regardless of the state of release, then it will be if it quietly gets fixed up a few months from now.

Damn, no wonder Griff plays well with Old World Alliance in Tournament format
3:24 - Minotaur
4:51 - Ogre
5:51 - Rat Ogre
8:26 - Troll

15:36 - Dark Elf Lineman
17:58 - Goblin
18:46 - Human Lineman (not a dark elf!)
20:25 - Roster 1 - 3 Big Guys, 2 RRs, 11players.

Nice 1, great log!

that is an interesting take on goblins
Great guide Andy!
Thank you Andy
I just like mutations. Having three big guys give lots of laughs. I've started a Renegade team in pre season and have had tons of fun so far.
Thanks for the guide andy. Really useful!!!
I've always run the skaven as the ball carrier (block, surehands, 2 heads, big hand) and the elf as the sacker ( wrestle, dodge, strip ball, 2 heads )
I can see that being a good option. Though for a starting team until you get a few skills I dare say the elf is the carrier?
DE having access to agility as primary skills, means he can have Blodge quicker, plus Sidestep too, also 2+ Agi on a great ball carrier can't be understated. 6 MA is fine, since the rest of the team has 5 or 6 MA, and you don't want to out run your protection anyway. Great idea. I'll see what I can do
Loving these guides Andy! These are gold, thanks.
Thankyou might try these later, i dont see them often
Hi Andy, I would also consider Leap and Very Long Legs and - if you play in a League - Horns as a third skill for a very threatening dark elf sacker...
Big hand is great on the dark elf as it makes it a 2+ pick up in tackle zones or in the rain.
I do like that the mino doesn't lose tackle zones very fun sevens team I'm excited to try it in 11s. Great video
8:24 Well, that's what I call foreshadowing...
Thanks for the guide though, helped a lot, even in season 3 :)
Loving this videos already Andy! Will you considera brawler in the Big guys? Or is very meh...
Wow! Amazing stuff, Andy!

Andy, you defined the rebegade rat ogre as a “must pick”, but it’s the only big guy you ignored in all your rosters. Why?
Just building them quickly, poor attention to detail my side , sorry
I guess he puts less though into it than I thought he did.

Thanks, Andy! (Go rats go!)
It's a bit late, but when would you recommend getting an Apo with this team?
I get one asap
I'm genuinely pissed that the mutations will no longer have any visuals on the players.

I'm honestly surprised you're releasing guides with the game in the state it is
its not like the rules and tactics will be changing since they did not make em

That’s a poor attitude. The guides will work for bb3 and TT and while the game is improved it’s good to give players advice.
What would you have me do?
