To all the heads out there....let me take you on a time travel trip back. During the 90's, during the"Boom Bap Rap" era, rappers was very different. It wasn't like today where you have to kill another rapper, snitching to the feds to take down a rapper. You didn't have to put out trash mix tapes nor being on wackiest reality TV show to be relevant.....Back then how rappers get his shine was thanks to college radio rap DJ mix shows, The Source & XXL Magazines, & pushing your music independently & touring was how you got exposure & later your major deals. A diss record back then was rare. Usually most MCs got alone & showed loved to his peers but every once in awhile another MC may diss you for your top spot or to make fun of that artist. But it was always on wax, never to the streets. Yes people would judge that MC by deciding who was more lyrical. Who used the most metaphors, who used factual events towards that rapper. Who got ate up. The other rapper decides if it was worth responding or take it as a lost & move on. I know it's quite a bit of youngsters that read UA-cam comments & think "Who Are These Old Dudes ? Who They Shot ? What They Talking About ?" There talking about the art of rap battling & how you should do it. It's very important for you youngsters understand the laws of MCing. 💯🖤❤️💯🖤❤️💯
